He is signed for next year. Its unclear if they want him this year. I cant see any reason why we stand in his way if the want him early as we really need that top30 spot and have plenty of middles.
That is why I don't understand why he hasn't left yet. I thought the approach had been made for this year as well.

I would have thought Rodwell was gone by now given the interest from overseas. Unsure why he hasn't gone yet.

Well, one reason might be the number of overseas players already signed for 2024 by the interested party. They can only have 7 foreign passport holders on the books in a given season. They might be full, or might be unwilling to use up remaining quota on Rodwell.

Looked at Wakefield's side have no clue if any of the players are from Oz apart from Mason Lino

Nope.

There is no cap on the number of overseas players allowed in squads below Super League, so Wakefield would be free to bring in Rodwell now. However, the Eels are thought to have shown resistance at this stage. He was named in their top 30 squad of players for the upcoming NRL season.

I had no idea who he was supposed to be signing with. The name hasn't been mentioned in the last 10 pages...just vague references to playing overseas.

Even with Grieg and Matalee injured the great Moimesea and Tevita Toumoenou couldn't crack the fierce competition in NSW CUP. How the he'll are they in our top 30.
They were signed when they were playing well, in NSW Cup. They've gone downhill since they arrived at our club.
