Rumours and Stuff

A mystery third party encouraged Parramatta to consider replacing injured halfback Mitchell Moses with ex-NRL star Mitchell Pearce.
The approach prompted Eels general manager of football, Mark O’Neill, to discuss Pearce with Parramatta head coach Brad Arthur.

Ultimately, Arthur and O’Neill resisted any contact with Pearce, the club investing in rising star Blaize Talagi.

Even if Parramatta wanted to open talks, Pearce would have rejected the interest.

Despite playing for Catalans in last year’s Super League grand final, Pearce has told friends he’s retired.

“Why wouldn’t they (discuss Pearce),” former Test forward Gorden Tallis told Triple M.

While Arthur has always admitted Pearce, the coach wanted to offer Moses’ spot to a player who has completed off-season and pre-season training.

Pearce won’t be contacted by Parramatta officially or unofficially.

O’Neill felt a responsibility to at least inform Arthur about the third party approach.

No-one at Parramatta would reveal the identity of the third party.

I think we can do better than lomax
Big money and an attitude that stinks. What happens if the team needs him to play wing for awhile ?
I like the Turuva option
Could we be patient for Talagi to develop .. he may not be too far away
May be some other options that haven’t been mentioned yet
Not worth 800k.

This is the greatest non-story I can recall. Why even waste time publishing this.

Why would MON discuss it with BA when BA has no responsibility on R&R?

NRL apparently looking into removing high impact collisions by banning long drop outs, and no longer having kick offs after tries, just a 20m tap to restart play. Don’t want big 20m+ charges by forwards due to concussion risk

Just ban the sport and switch to oztag. f**k me dead, even this sport is turning woke.

Anyone else get great enjoyment out of seeing the Stickman doing a press conference after a defeat, hurting & wanting to be anywhere else but there.

It's a shame next week we play them I think they will be tough down there coming off that humiliation tonight.

He didn't miss the players in that presser.

Woke = Soft cock.

Sometimes I think it is more then just that. Almost like a little community gathering together with there new untested ideas that also attempts those who aren't on the wole bandwagon to be these barbaric, old fashioned, minds still asleep individuals.
This idea of higher intelligence and superior way of living and caring for each other whilst trying to shame those who don't follow.
Basically silly rich white people have taken advantage of these minorities for many a years. Now they are bored and old (And nearing death). They feel guilty and so to give their lives some sense of purpose they are kissing their arses and letting their ideas run rampant on society.
Problem is social media has given them a voice . No real suprise mental illnesses is so high in the younger generations.

That's one way to look at it.

Another way to look at it is that mental health has only really become a genuine focus in the last 20 years, or so - prior to that, it was generally a case of, "Oh, you're depressed? Harden up."
