Looking at what we have as a short handed roster, I’ll make the following comment . The recruitment manager recruits, and the coach does exactly that.
The set up that we seem to have puts the final decisions etc on the actual signings is to a 3 headed monster that doesn’t contain the coach. Obviously there are issues with style of play and a limited tactical set up, but going into a second season without a full roster isnt that clever, and added to that an inadequate number of backs signed.
The whole setup needs to be reviewed and it’s time to understand that the issues of the previous board etc have been rectified and to become more progressive.

Do we even have a coach that teaches the youngsters how to tackle? If we do sack him as hes hopeless or if not employ someone. Yes we need a good cleanout from the coach down.

To be fair, everyone does. What people seem to differ on, is the solutions to the problems.

It's very easy to sack everyone and post and repost the same thing every day or week, but as the 26th POTUS once said "Complaining about a problem without posing a solution is called whining."

So, what is the solution ? If you go through these forums there must be 50 options from 50 experts. They all start with sacking someone, but the solutions seem to be scatter gun.

I am not adverse to the Wayne Bennett appointment, which is the solution de jour, but is he prepared for the impatience of our fans and are our fans prepared to be patient for change to give effect ?

Yes, yes, yes!!! And he might clean out the rotting carcass starting from the rotting head, HOF and R & R team, to coaching changes in the junior grades. Thats what we need so solution found.

They don't recruit any player that the coach doesn't want. He is involved in the process, he is just not responsible for it

Think of it like this:
Meeting where team needs are discussed and players names thrown around
Coach says 'get me X,Y,Z' - and gives his perceived value of X Y or Z to the current roster.
It is then the R&R teams responsibility to go and get X, Y or Z. They may ask the coach to play a part in approaching player/ convincing them of their perceived role in the squad. But the R&R mob are the ones who offer and negotiate contracts
If they stuff it up (ie, lowball offer etc), then back to a meeting to discuss team needs and throw around players names.

BA has the squad he wants to suit his gameplan. They aren't wildly bringing in players who he has no desire to ever play.

Failure to recruit is recruiting to fail.

While that’s a simple analogy, standing still in an ever changing rugby league competition will see things deteriorate quickly. Not sure hy we lose so many juniors coming through , but that needs to addressed immediately. If we don’t have the right people in place, then that’s on the board or whoever makes those decisions to acknowledge it and make change.

we have a very business like and experienced board, they now need to utilise that to improve personnel in important positions .

This board you talk about, is it Leagues Club board or footy club board. Surely only the footy club board is relevant to this discussion.

BA is a footy nerd. He eats sleeps and breaths footy. To suggest he isnt the bloke " scouting" these "diamonds in the rough" is inconceivable in my opinion. BAs stamp is on every player that gains a contract from top to bottom. Added to that he appears to be a poor delegator.
