Why would the club want to sign a bloke with a dislocated hip?
I think Morts would be a good signing. He would be top 25 but well outside the top 17 for price. And you don't play in two grand finals (and win a premiership) if you're not a first grader. Maybe he could get top 17 money somewhere? How much would he be on now? My guess is about $150k
But not as much potential... the Fog could (maybe) improve with exposure to the full time NRL squad, but with Morts what you see is what you get.
Well, not footy anyway...Morts never played under Arthur
And as we're still paying him it might as well be to play for us.I said it in a other post. Morts carved out a first grade career. Is cheap and can fill in at halves and hooker. Prob better then the fog
Why are we naming a 21 man squad for the game? The 25-year-old, however, will not be in the 21-man squad Brad Arthur names on Tuesday for the first-round match against Manly at Lottoland on Sunday.
Fogarty kicks better, and kicks goals too. I can see him getting a run in the halves in first grade this year. Morts can play halves if required (like if there's an injury mid-game) but otherwise you wouldn't name him anywhere but hooker.I said it in a other post. Morts carved out a first grade career.
