Perth rocks, lived in Scarborough for ages, and loved it.

It's not just Perth, the whole WA surf coast is an awesome place.

I was standing in line behind a well known Parramatta Podcaster, who was speaking with Jim Sarantinos.

They were talking about the game against the Broncos, and discussing Kelma Tuilagi's charge down. Jim quoted some NFL coach or Admin that says we have to "Manage the Unknown" or something like that. That we need to ingrain that in our players to not go for the charge down in that situation and that Jim nearly fell off his seat when it happened.

Then 45 minutes later we couldn't MANAGE AN AMBULANCE.

Screw blue sky ideals and the quotes from other codes. Just do your god damn job.

The surf in Perth is crap though. Blocked by rottnest island and a bunch of outer reefs.

yeah, we used to surf down the coast and then party in Scarborough all weekend, best of both worlds

the surf in Scarborough is just shitty little beach breaks

I lived in Perth through the 70s, kids born there. Been back twice to see family and friends, it’s a nice place but too far away from anywhere and far too insular.

Had a house near the beach and then just south of the city, great for the kids but they have done so well here in Sydney, all their friends were married with kids by the time they were 21/22.

You sat that like it's a bad thing.

Dear Members,
The Parramatta Eels have today confirmed the assistant coaches for the 2025 season and beyond.
Incoming head coach Jason Ryles will be supported by Assistant Coaches Nathan Brown, Scott Wisemantel, Sam Moa and Nathan Cayless.
Nathan Brown previously served as the Parramatta Eels Elite Pathways Coaching Director in 2022 and was instrumental in accelerating the development of our players in those programs. His coaching experience of 475 games in the NRL and English Super League will be of great benefit to Jason and the other coaches as well as the playing group.
Scott Wisemantel is a Parramatta Eels junior, and played in the Parramatta Eels President’s Cup and reserve grade teams from 1988 to 1992. A former Wallabies and England attack coach, Scott has coached around the world including in France, Japan, Samoa and England and he was a long-time assistant to Eddie Jones with Japan at the 2015 World Cup and with England between 2018-19.
Sam Moa was the defence coach for Catalan Dragons from 2021 - 2023. He is a former New Zealand and Tonga international and a premiership winner with the Roosters in 2013. Sam also played 169 Super League games winning the Challenge Cup at Wembley in 2018.
Nathan Cayless, a former Captain and legend of the club continues in his NSW Cup Head Coach role to round out the new coaching structure for 2025.
Another key appointment is that of Blair Mills as the Head of Athletic Performance. Blair has had experience working with the All Blacks Rugby 7s, Waikato Chiefs and in his most recent role with Japanese rugby. He comes highly recommended and will complement the coaching staff with his approach to training and recovery.
Parramatta Eels CEO Jim Sarantinos said, “Our incoming Head Coach Jason Ryles has assembled a team of assistants that he feels will help him bring the best out of the playing group and we look forward to welcoming the new coaching staff in November. On behalf of the Board and management, I’d also like to thank the current coaching and performance staff who are departing our Club at the end of this season. It has been a challenging season but our staff have shown their strong commitment to the Club and the team during this period. We are most grateful for their contribution and look forward to recognising them prior to the season completion.”
