So it has to do the the courts for something to have happened??? I'm sure certain clubs wouldn't do anything at all to keep their star players from being in any sort of trouble.........

No. There needs to be objective evidence that something untoward happened. As per my earlier post, courts are just one means by which such evidence can be observed. If a bloke does something, and there are witnesses prepared to talk to make a declaration to the NRL, or if the player takes a photo of himself rooting a cat, that is potentially evidence. It's quite different to a story where nobody will provide evidence against the player, and there's no other supporting evidence.

Really? You think someone who follows geopolitics and social political manip The ulation like I do, wouldn't know what social Darwinism is?

It's like saying I don't know who Edward Bernays is or what the deep state is, another term that has been around for a number of years, but only just become popular.
It's nothing like that because educated people know what social darwinism is, and wouldn't confuse it with Darwin's theory. However nobody educated has heard of any of the paranoid shit you go on about.

EELS SEARCH FOR SEMI REPLACEMENT

North Queensland are in danger of losing yet another of their home-grown talents, with Parramatta circling winger Kyle Feldt.

View attachment 11567

Market Watch can reveal the Eels have cast their net in search of a winger and Feldt sits high on their list.

The loss of Feldt would be another blow for the Cowboys, who lose Kalyn Ponga to Newcastle next season and co-captain Matt Scott could join him.

Looking for a replacement for rugby-bound Semi Radradra next year, the Eels have formed an early shortlist.

While Feldt, who was in the frame for a Queensland Origin debut last year, is a major target, he’s not the only one in the mix to replace Radradra.

Wests Tigers flyer David Nofoaluma is also on the Eels’ radar for 2018.

A Campbelltown junior, Nofoaluma told foxsports.com.au earlier in the year that it will be difficult for the Tigers to keep all their locals with the likes of James Tedesco and Aaron Woods also off-contract.

“It’s contract time, what do you do? All you can do is play your best footy and take the best option possible,” Nofoaluma said.

“My focus is having a better season than last year, and that’s all I can ask for. What happens in the future happens.

“Of course (I’d like to stay). I started at the Tigers. But things come. I’d like to stay but let’s see what happens.”

Nofoaluma, 23, made his City Origin debut last year and averages a try every 1.8 NRL games.

Feldt, 25, is a premiership winner who can goal kick. He averages a try every 1.3 NRL games.

Two bit from this article ...

Quiet Eels

Oh Parramatta, how much we'll miss your leaking ways. In an attempt to avoid history repeating itself, the Eels have moved to silence their newly appointed board, gagging them from speaking to the media. Under the club's policy to its new board members, they are prohibited from speaking to the media without consent.

Parra eyeing Lolohea

The Parramatta Eels are keeping a close eye on what happens across the ditch between Tuimoala Lolohea and the New Zealand Warriors. Kieran Foran's arrival means Lolohea looks like being wasted on the wing for the Warriors and the Eels are ready to pounce should frustrations over his role in the team boil over. Parramatta has plenty of cash to spend and aren't shy about letting players know it.
Back on topic (I don't know why merkins just want to keep hijacking the thread) any of these 3 would be good. Feldt given he's a goal kicker should probably be main target. Also I'm not sure where lolohea would fit in

Of course no one is willing to talk when a certain organisation is happy to give out free gifts to all as long as their star players are free to play.

You honestly think all clubs are treated the same??? You only have to see how Peats was made to miss a game and for what??? The hearsay of an aggrieved parent???

Didn't Peats also admit to it?

I think you're missing my point. I'm not disputing that the Broncos do some dodgy shit. I'm saying that, at the NRL level, if they don't have access to evidence there isn't much they can do. If they suspend a bloke for off-field issues without a scrap of evidence, they'll find themselves in court in 5 minutes.

Why was Roberts given in a 7 day ban from Brisbane CBD if he didn't do anything wrong??? And 6 days later he was at it again, surely with his record and past offences that warrants more than a fly in fly out in the same day???? How hard did they really look in to it??? There are stories of him all about the place from any number of sources that what this clown continually gets up too, alcohol ban as well but he didn't do anything wrong??? it's the inconsistencies in punishments from club to club that is what is pissing everyone off.

Spot on.

There is no consistency people can say what they want.

If Roberts had done these indiscretions at any other club it would be safe to say his NRL career would be over?

The term Darwinism has been coined by Thomas Henry Huxley in his April 1860 review of "On the Origin of Species",[8] and by the 1870s it was used to describe a range of concepts of evolution or development, without any specific commitment to Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection.[9]

He was on his last chance at the Titans if I recall correctly, but hey it didn't go to court and no one is willing to testify or probably investigate it so it's all ok.
