I'd say with Edwards out of the team he will be the bench edge forward now. I don't see Brown, Alvaro or O'Brien playing that role.

Why would a team play 4 middle forwards on the bench?
So we are going to have to play a bloke suited to the middle on the edges???

Thought you said Edwards would be expendable ???

Well nothing goes to court in a Brisbane and remember how Poor Ben barba was in trouble and needed our help??? And Toddles disgustingly was rewarded the top job after he helped Benny back asap.

AFAIK, there was no evidence that Barba had broken the law at the time of his 'code of conduct' breach when he was stood down in 2013. He certainly was not charged with anything at that time.

Sure - he was just "getting help" for no apparent reason what-so-ever .... just like James Roberts "got help" and is on an alcohol ban for no apparent reason what-so-ever

KE history:

Sacked from Manly
Sacked from Dragons
Incident at junior match
Incident with eels on the Gold Coast
Swapgate
Domestic violence charge

Hope he gets another chance, but he has prior offences so expecting a decent suspension maybe 8-12 weeks.

I don't really care about what other players from other clubs might get, KE is an eel and really he needs to take some responsibility for his actions and grow up. How many chances can a player get?

How enforceable do you think an NRL ban would be on the basis of a story about a bloke being a prick outside a nightclub, when no witnesses want to co-operate, and cannot be compelled to cooperate? It's one thing to say that.....'everyone knows player X was on the blow'....but you can't suspend a player on that evidence.

The simple facts are that KEnny a) has a history off-field trouble, some of which involved violence and is verified by the courts and b) has been found guilty (actually pleaded guilty to) of a criminal offence involving his partner (even if it was at the lowest end of the scale). He is going to get suspended for a while. That doesn't mean we should sack him. But the NRL can't just give him 4 weeks and say 'pull your head in'. He has been given chances before.

The guy we really want to step up is Niakurore - Big athletic backrower who can bust the line.
Tanginoa if gets defense right could also slot in.

Not sure anyone else has the tackle breaking ability of KE.

I'm not trying to make excuses for Kenny ..... I'm just chiming in on the treatment of others - specifically that things get overlooked despite the obvious fact that "something" occured

I'm sorry none of this washes well with me, how can a repeat offender such as James Roberts who is at his 4th or 5th club now? No suspension? Just because there was no video footage of what happened this past summer he got let off. Oh and I forgot he plays for Brisbane not Parramatta.

Where there is smoke there is fire so i'm sure many would agree he did whatever he was accused of.

How can Edwards, someone who has been convicted of the lowest kind of assault, has also had his intimidation charge dropped get anymore then a 2-4 week ban?

It's a farce, Greenberg is gonna punish him and use him as an example but where is the f**king consistency. It's a joke.

Kelepi is named run on prop for wenty this week. Guessing he is no longer looked at for the edges?

However that's not to say he doesn't push Fritchard to the wide role??

Can you nominate once case where a player has been suspended by the NRL because it was obvious that 'something' occurred, but there's no hard evidence, and no external evidence such as the existence of a criminal charge? What would you charge the bloke with? Bringing the game into disrepute? Then you have to prove that event X occurred. Not every club is dumb enough to video their meetings.

You need to remember the 'Parra' loading that instantly doubles or more the time that players from other clubs would get. We are a powerhouse though, or at least on the way to being one.

Wenty are thin on Props thou - Vavae-Terepo will be back and that will push Twal to bench and Tanginoa out wide I'm guessing.

Re Roberts. You can't suspend a bloke when there is no formal complaint, ,no charges laid, no witnesses willing to talk and no access to video footage. What do you want the NRL to do, just guess what happened?

Unfortunately an NRL player cops double jeopardy, sentenced by the court and then by NRL. But Kenny has had multiple chances (as has Roberts) and shouldn't be sacked but given help (at his expense) to try to change his behaviour. Maybe Ma'u and Matagi need to get in his ear because KE will one day end up in jail unless he modifies his behaviour.

In this case didn't NRL interview bouncers and person that had hair pulled? Did all stay mute?
What happened with Broncos player taking drugs in toilet?
What happened with Manly and match fixing allegations?
In all 3 instances the investigation took NRL 5 minutes to resolve.
If happened in Parra Land would still be vigorously pursuing it wouldn't they?
