Player loyalty is an interesting notion in the modern game. Clubs and players no longer share the loyalty of old, and contracts are mere transactions.
Norman owes us nothing for signing him as a half. We were his ticket out of being iverlooked at the Broncos, we paid him and he turned up to play. But remember, this is a guy who allegedly needed cash payments in car parks during this contract, so loyalty may not be a primary factor in his next decision.
Why wouldn't the guy look to his next contract and choose the offer that pays him more AND gives him less media scrutiny/pressure, after going through a season where hus performances haven't registered on the comp ladder?
