the Guth also plays next to Normie some times which we dont see much of nowdays, so he can play like a running 5/8 which is similar to centre which suits him, thats how he scored that first try

a couple of times yesterday Normie got tackled on the last so Guth did the kicking, he is fitting in nicely for mine

I think he's the best winger in the world. The frightening thing is that he's fast and strong and has a bunch of skills and a good footy brain - but has still only played 70 games. I wonder how much more he will improve?

If it was Toupo or Morris the same thing happens thou. I'm not knocking Semi he is great. But I wouldn't pay a winger the same as Corey Norman. It will weaken the rest of our squad.

We need for 2018 a star front rower and a boom second rower.

That depends on whether he decides to stay in the NRL or goes to the NFL, ARL, AFL or the RSL, which is where I'm going now.

I have a lot of faith in Gutherson.Seems like a guy who will work harder and harder to improve.His goal kicking was woefull at times yesterday.But he dis nail a few good ines in terrible conditions.
Id also love Semi to stay.

Does anyone remember corey his first year at 5/8 here.
Most wanted him gone. Look like a deer in the headlights on the last. He was nothing short of shit.
His 2nd year he showed glimpses of what can do. Not consistant but a glimmer of hope. And yr 3 he shined. BA didnt even expect it or wouldnt of went hard for Foran.

Gutherson looks better then Normies first year in halves. Confident guy.

Only if that goal kicker is also a good overall player and would strengthen our team. No point in having an elite goal-kicker if they're going to be a defensive liability.

In 24 games last year, the 6 players that spent time in the halves (Norman, Foran, Gutho, Robson, Edwards, Taka) scored 5 tries between them. In 2 games this year our halves have crossed 3 times already. If Gutho keeps scoring meat pies, I will be okay with him kicking at 70+%

Agree JT would be a bigger benefit then bird to this team.

Agreed. JT provides better value to our team than Bird does. TBH I'm not convinced Bird would offer that much more than Guth. I haven't seen much of a long kicking game, they both have strong running games, good defence and I don't see a noticeably better passing game from Bird.

Half the centres in the NRL now are backrowers that have been shifted. Wingers are getting to the stage where they are worth more if they arent already
