Talagi is shit 😂 was at that game you could see it coming in slow motion..

You are only Development club when you are shit just like us for all those years!

I actually wonder if Penrith had the chance they would pear up Cleary and Galvin that would be a great pearing..
any club would take Galvin.....he is ours, for at least a while

Stefano stuffed up by going to the Tigers..
Would have played in a GF with us if he stayed...

Papalii as well signed for Tigers then had a change of heart because they were shit

Stefs a good player, I mean he played origin with us, just lacks a bit of heart. Bellamy might get him there.

Papalli clearly never wanted to come. He’s only as good as the half passing him the ball. At parra he had brown and Moses, then went to a combo of Brooks/Wakeham and Sullivan lol. He’ll go back his best form at Penrith.

Agreed on both points. Really interested to see how both go in their new systems, particularly Stefano.

Will get more impact and longer minutes with May. Coupled with the shorter minutes but much bigger impact of Hunt, its a great thing Stef left although I wanted him to stay.

Looked good at the end with us playing lock. I genuinely wish he had stayed....but again maybe we dont get the new guys without him leaving and/or Galvin extention. Would have liked to have seen him playing off Galvin. its no coincidence that Samuela Fainu won Tigers player of the year playing off Galvins shoulder. Paps would have thrived with either Galvin or Luai.

I can say Papallii always put in and Ill give him that.

Come on mate, he’s a very talented kid, but he wouldn’t crack a starting half spot at lots of clubs.

Please don’t invest too much in him - it’s going to break your heart when he ditches you at the first opportunity.

yeah I wanted Stef to stay (originally) but May certainly looks a better player

I’m still filthy we let Papalli go, I would have loved to have seen him with a full season of Luai/Galvin feeding him

Why are you tormenting yourself like this? You’re convincing me that Galvin will tank deliberately this season to get a release to Parra to play alongside the pictured gent.
No it was your "Wouldnt get a run in most teams" comment....
Galvins not a tanker......although same agent worries me a lot.

“Wouldn’t crack a starting half spot at lots of clubs” isn’t “wouldn’t get a run in most teams”.

Yep, I’d be worried too. At least Mitch waited a few seasons before agitating for a release, rather than a few games.

Murray's "very average" Cowboy's side in 2005, had players that have played 98 origin games and 17 NZ test matches.

While the "really great" 2022 parramatta side had players that have played 26 origin matches and 27 NZ test matches.

Total origin games is a good indication of the squad / experience/ potential. I have posted previously the 2022 eels had the lowest origin reputation of pretty much every premier/runner up over the last few years.

Yeah BA did things wrong, yeah it was his squad and yes it was time for change /new coach. But he did a pretty decent job with the squad he had.

while on Gutho, the push to move him away from fullback started under BA.
The Cowboys were given less of a chance of beating Parramatta in the 2005 semi final than Parramatta was given of beating Penrith in the 2022 grand final. Thats just an objective fact. Also the majority of North QLD players would have been playing for QLD at the time who had won 1 out of the last 6 series so I’m not sure how much of a flex that would have been at the time anyway. Let’s not pretend the likes of Josh Hannay and Paul Bowman were elite players. They were picked because QLD had no one else.

Mitch pussied out immediately after asking a release like the weak human he is. Galvin asked for a release before he even played a game because he was worried he wouldnt get a run. Subsequently announced himself on the game and never looked back. Has repeatedly endorsed the club and will be here for at least two more years.

Asked for a release after a handful of games, didn’t he? Or has he already done it on multiple occasions?
