So how do you tell if the people in charge of an organisation have done a good or a bad job?
Not by cherry picking outcomes that confirm my biases. You need to look at the big picture over a long enough period. We know the people running Penrith are doing a good job and we know their counterparts at the Tigers are doing poorly. Most other clubs are competitive most years, with some more (or less) than others.

There wasn’t a single Eels fan or footy fan that I spoke to that believed he was the right fit for the club.
That's because he was an unlikeable dickhead and they wanted him to fail ever since he came into the NRL at Souths.
It turns out they were entirely spot on.
Well they said the same thing about Mitch Moses and they were wrong. You win some, you lose some. Footy fans love death riding merkins. Eventually one will fail and they will pat themselves on the back.

How many years of data minimum before an opinion can be formed?

Not sure I agree with Jnr holding his spot but given Hoppy and Williams join him its probably fair enough given hes an incumbent. He needs a big season and needs to maintain his playing weight. A repeat of 23 or 24 will see him moved on no doubt.
Apparently down to around 110kg atm, which seems too light, so certainly bought into Ryles vision. Hasn't been this light since a 16yo.

Depth signing according to the club:

“We’re excited to add more depth to our forward pack"

Depth doesn't mean minimum wage though. Minimum salary players are backups, not depth players. Minimum salary backups might only play a game or two (or zero) throughout the season. Depth players are competing (with other depth players) for a spot in the 17. They might only play half a dozen games or they might play most games in a season.

So depth signings on 3 year deals is acceptable? It no wonder ba never won a comp, and had one of the worst finals winning records in history.

I'll call you out on this. For a depth player he played a hell of a lot of games for us, too much for a depth player that would normally only play when injury and suspension happens to another player.
