Who cares if we made an offer or not? The fact is he's already signed and the club making a statement either way doesn't change anything, if the club makes a statement on this I'd be annoyed.
Yep. He hasn't been an Eels player since 2014. We don't owe him a response. A public statement could look very unprofessional.

The Eels were just giving him money, promoting him and selling his merchandise to their fans for shits and giggles the last few years? Okay. I have something I'd like to sell you.

I dont think we have much to say really, we f**ked up and thats a given. We couldn't make an offer due to the shit storm we have created and we are still deep in it.

Looking at Hayne's presser he really didn't seem too happy to be there, not really much excitement in his voice and when he mentioned the Eels and the club where he played his junior footy he actually sounded pretty disappointed.

It was like he had no choice if he wanted to play footy it was to be at the Titans.

We f**ked up and we couldn't make him an offer, its our fault.

Suck it up and move on.
What's our 'fault'? That we didn't pay overs for a person like him? This is a massive win for the club. Finally we are doing things on our terms. We have a good squad of players with plenty of talent. We also have two blokes who can play fullback already.

So, presuming that we sign Norman (which I'm guessing we can throw more money at if needed), who else can we look at to partner him in the halves.

Is Hastings going to get too big of an offer from the Dragons if they miss out on Norman from us to bother? I'd suggest so

The Titans will surely have to offload one of their halves now for next year?

Mbye, Lichaa or Reynolds surely one will have to make way for Foran?

Do we up the ante to bring Blake Green back to the club?

Is Sam Williams worth a try?

We need a 9 and a 7 before we can say that. If we go into next year with either Robson or DeGois in our top 17 we are kidding ourselves

Let the whole roster that wants to be paid overs go and target for 2018. Unless we sign someone like Cronk (which is unlikely as the messiah won't even come back to this shit hole) for next year that is the end result anyway. The salary cap should not be thrown at Norman to keep him, I'm glad fans can't be in charge of the Eels anymore. If Semi wants to go, let him. If Norman wants to go, let him. I'd rather Robson and Kelly for next year then players that have shown to be risks on big money.

This IS and always has been the difference between the Storm culture and ours. Storm are win at all costs and play for pride and their fans. Eels culture has been winning is a bonus as long as I can drive up my contract price and look better than my teammates while having a good time in the process. Anyone that doesn't want to be here, including Lyin' Hayne, doesn't have to be.

So, um, isn't about time to challenge each other to fist fights behind the sheds or something? I'm out of the country, but I look forward to reports of who won.

I reckon if we added 3 of the following 5 we would be in a good place for 2017:
- Hastings
- Green
- A Reynolds
- Lichaa
- Cook

Hope Norman has already signed or his manager will be having a field day milking us for more money, now he knows we have more available and we are desperate

I am not TRYING to be rude, but, suggesting Sam Williams is pitiful. He is absolutely awful when compared to first grade halves.

NZ (Dunedin). It's pretty cold behind the sheds at the moment. You'll probably need to bring some sort of rugby league publication to wrap yourself in.
