About 15 years ago I used to do some work in Hong Kong in 2 weeks stretches.

My hotel was Kowloon and whenever I walked outside I'd be beset by about 20 blokes (generally Indian chaps) trying to sell me watches. After I'd got the shits completely I first tried a tactic of threatening the first bloke who grabbed me and hoping the rest would get the picture. In the end, I worked out that the best tactic was to offer to sell them my watch ($5 from BP Fyshwick). They really didn't know how to respond when you offered to sell them stuff at never to be repeated prices.
