yeah .... 5 years is a long time ... no idea what our lineup will be 5 years from now - 2020 only has 1 contracted player - we might be frickin going back-to-back! ... yeah baby!!

I don't think our halves are cheap. They are probably on about $1.5M combined, which would be the price of plenty of halves pairings. There could be a few on more but not many.

I wish Bernie would put down the crack pipe long enough to tell us how many premierships we're gonna win in the next few years. Say what you like about his predecessor but he at least gave us that.

Yes id say 2018 and 2019 there will be 10 clubs who can win it. And we are one of them. And of them id say we be in best 7 chances for both years.

Sometimes you can have a great team that could of won it most years. The 2001 eels come up against a great Knights side, Actually if looked at squads now I know whats players had better careers.

The year the tigers won the comp was weak. We should of took it out that year.

Who even knows anymore.

Obviously luck needs to be in your favour all round, fit and healthy players and no injuries, rookies and youngsters like French, Gutherson, Brown, all excelling, Moses and Norman clicking, right recruitment, I could go on forever. I think a lot of it will come down to what the market allows and what we get when we need it in certain positions, this team is a fair way off at the moment but some smart acquisitions could change that and again some bloody luck!

The nucleus is there just the right adjustments would need to be made and made to perfection.

Teams haven't even finished their 2017 recruiting, let alone done all their 2018 recruiting.

It may be true, it may not true, but Jimmy Smith said on the BSB show this morning that big Sam Kasiano took $170k less then what the eels / dragons (and one other side, cant remember which one) were offering to sign with the storm (as he wanted to be coached by Bellamy).

So while all BA targets aren't known, he is definitely looking at other players. So just because it isn't reported, BA knows what we need and isn't doing nothing as some think he is!!
