Manly subsidised Watmough’s contract too. And he absolutely set standards at training. He doesn’t need to hang around with the boys for coffee afterwards. Leaders need to keep some distance.
If we had the players you’re talking about we would be weaker in other areas. That’s how the salary cap works.

I always thought that as well. Players like Watmough, Scott, Foran, Gordon etc were, apart from their current or past performances, bought to the club to change our culture and provide leadership. The days of 54 to nil thrashings and piss poor attitude were reasoned to be history. Clearly they were thought too highly of or our culture can bring down even the best of them. Develop our own leaders and be prepared to move on those that dont conform. Mannah has been pretty good but has he displayed the form he displayed representing The Cucumbers? Not even close.Manly subsidised Watmough’s contract too. And he absolutely set standards at training. He doesn’t need to hang around with the boys for coffee afterwards. I don’t reckon Brown is that far away. He is 18 this year and already one of the best halves in Flegg. He could be a first grader by 2020.
I reckon that was because Farah wasn’t playing hookerMoses and Farah seemed to gel OK for Lebanon

Yep Im still annoyed over last weeks effort by the 1s and 2s.
At the end of a season it doesn’t. However consecutive losses has more potential to lead to a lack of confidence and subsequent losses that may not necessarily have been the case with a few wins under the belt. Why is consecutive losses more relevant than total losses in a season?
Mate we won 29 games in the past two years (also top four in the NRL during that time). Our attacking middle (not their defence) is our weakest point. On the edges we are quite strong. We're already weak in other areas mate. Haven't you worked that out yet? So strengthen what has always been true since the very beginning in RL. Front row and halves. Then work out the rest from there.
It certainly didn't hurt us, and coincided with our new hard nosed attitude. It might be coincidence - we also got rid of Sandow at about that time. But it might not be coincidence either. Let's assume he did what he was bought to do, rather than thinking we know everything that happens behind the scenes.Pou still talking up the Watmong signing lol.
So you're saying we should play our edge players up the middle? I like it!Mate we won 29 games in the past two years (also top four in the NRL during that time). Our attacking middle (not their defence) is our weakest point. On the edges we are quite strong.
Or does it lead to desperation and opposition teams taking you lightly? At the end of a season it doesn’t. However consecutive losses has more potential to lead to a lack of confidence and subsequent losses that may not necessarily have been the case with a few wins under the belt.
But just in defence. Can you imagine French and Moses in the middle smashing merkins and laying all over the ruck? It would be brutal. So you're saying we should play our edge players up the middle? I like it!
James Hooper is saying that Brown will be dropped for getting into a punch up at training. Apparently it was with Mosses.
Nah i'm just joking he was an awesome signing. It certainly didn't hurt us, and coincided with our new hard nosed attitude. It might be coincidence - we also got rid of Sandow at about that time. It wasn't on the cap though so who cares? We were desperate to pay merkins outside the cap and we found a way. It's one of the few things we didn't f**k up.Nah i'm just joking he was an awesome signing.
Cost the club over 3m for about 12 games, awesome value.

He just wants to be f**ken right about something. Some merkins need to say I-told-you-so.Shutup. You are spoiling his "everything smells like shit" narrative.
