I think he’s not getting a run because Gutho is a better fullback. And French is too small to play anywhere else.

Id have given him a try at 6 before Smith particularly given Smith hasnt played all year. Why drop Salmon though? Hes been going better than some who seem to have a mortgage on their place in the team.

I haven't rated Salmon at 6 but apparently centre is his position. If BA wanted to keep Taka then Salmon to left centre and Hoffman wing was the sensible option

The whole team isn't playing shit. We've won half our games ffs. Exactly the amount you'd expect with this squad. But our middle defence is worse than last year and the reason is Paulo.

Obviously he is also a big reason for our much improved attack. I like him in the team, but we need to cover for him in defence. Hanging onto the f**king ball would help limit his workload without it.

Throwing it out there and will upset some on here but if James Roberts is on the outer we should be looking to get him to the club before June 30.
Him and Fergo would make a lethal combo on the right. I also think Fergo could be the big brother Roberts needs.

I agree we need more speed but Roberts? That is a headache we don't need. I've never really rated Ferguson either. Yeah he has his moments but lacks consistency and class. I have warmed to him be he's a f**king dumbo just like Roberts. I'd rather see Gutho go to centre and see if French can give us the speed wee need from FB.
Edit: Our forwards would obviously have to improve a fair bit to consider putting Bev at the back.

Agree...first 25 mins and last 25 mins.
Playing the whole first half and becoming a liability towards the latter of the 1st half just puts undue pressure on his fellow players.
Have to say our bench rotation in general is shit.
In quite a few games when we've been dominated the reinforcements have come on when the horse has bolted...

May well be what we see this week, but I am not sure Sivo and Salmon are experienced enough to look after our left side defence, so will probably stick with Hoffman for Mennings and put Sivo straight back in.

In the games we've managed to win this year, I'm not sure that Guth is a better fullback. He might be. Guth probably would have been in all the ones we have lost though. Without ever having the luxury to play those games twice in exactly the same circumstances, who could tell?

Honestly? I can't think of many I'd want...lot of pea hearts in that setup.

Waqa Blake or Dean Whare maybe. I've never rated RCG that highly. DWZ is just Brad Takairangi with more ability

Assuming Mitchell Moses is staying and assuming that Dylan Brown is out for the remainder of the season (i don't know if he will be back, I haven't heard or seen an update recently), do you (everyone here, not just Avenger) reckon it would be worth us trying to get James Maloney to the club? Moses has never played with a much more experienced half nor one who has accomplished as much as Maloney has. I reckon it'd be a great thing for Moses' game. The drawback would be the length of time Maloney would probably want.
