Rumours and Stuff

I sometimes think of quitting the NRL. It's literally becoming like the La Liga in Spain with 2 teams.

Not only do Storm and Roosters manipulate the game on the field, they have now started manipulating the game off the field. Their friends in the media protect them and their agendas. It's getting ridiculous.

I am just waiting for them to manipulate the head high sin bin rule. Teddy has already mastered the art of falling onto player's biceps and the Storm will follow suit.
What about the dominance of Penrith and Parramatta's slow but steady rise? We had a good crack at swinging our dicks last week and got what we wanted. Realistically, if protecting the Roosters was the default position of the NRL, then Marata and Brown would have been hit with a big stick during the game. As it was, the failure do do that probably got us the 2 points.

And do you really think Teddy wants to cop a high shot every week so he can watch the game on TV with Friend and Cordner?

Agreed, but he does bring up an interesting point.

What about the sneaky kamikaze player that senses an opportunity to at the last second lower himself just enough to wear a clip on the chin by a defenders arm that won't really do major damage, but looks bad and he takes the dive, plays it up and the defender then cops 10 in the bin or even worse and is marched outright.

Sounds crazy don't it? Until it happens in a Semi or Heaven forbid a Grand Final.

Teddy boy over to you son.

If we were to loan him out, I wouldn't like to loan him to a weak team like the the Dogs where he may just get smashed most games and pick up bad habits. I would seek to loan him out to a team like the Bunnies. Strong roster and they are in the market for a organising half. The Raiders or Knights maybe an option depending on roster next year too.

Would have loved to send him to the Storm or Rorters for a year, but they are flush with halves, unless the Rorters cop a heap of injuries again next year. Of course if we were to loan out a player like Arthur, it would be under the stipulation that he can't play against us in the big end of season games.
Just like Harry Grant to the Tigers, most loans will be from strong clubs to weak clubs. No different to how it happens in the soccer.

Yeah I get that, but the Tigers were and average team not a sh*t team. There is a difference. To put an 18-19 year old half into a totally crap team that hasn't got a decent pack go forward I believe would be detrimental to the development of most halves and I would not want a promising young half of ours pummelled like that every week.

They would learn very little in an environment like that and actually may even be scaring and detrimental to their long term development.

No thanks. A middle or top team or nothing.

Oh btw, Grant was already 22 years old when loaned to the Tigers. A totally different scenario.

I also thinking sending a half to a completely different system would be potentially more detrimental to a halfback development than what they gain. Perhaps for a short loan (couple of months) but not for a whole season.
The more likely players to loan out would be the Penisinis or back in the day Stefanos.

It's not so crazy but players already had the opportunity to do that before last week.
