Be honest, would you be able to identify if we have played our best and just not been good enough? Losing those games, like any other game, are going to come down to a failure in our defence, someone making an error or our inability to break the other team’s defence.

Oh come on mate. Like we can't tell when teams play well and to their ability? Of course there are losers and winners even when both opposing teams play well. We just have to accept that if we are playing to our abilities and well consistently that occasionally we will lose. We get that, but a very good roster like ours should win its fair share against the top 3 or 4 teams in the NRL not lose so badly almost every time.

Most fans of the sport can tell the difference mate.

The only time in a finals game where we played well and IMO were the better team was against the Storm in 2017. Last year we played well in patches but couldn’t do it for the full 80mins. It’s not rocket science.

In the official team list , Grant is the starting 9, and Reed is listed as no 19. Injuries may play a part, so if all clear we may have some luck.

We were moving our best defensive centre to help young Arthur's. All that says is that Opacic is a better defender than Blake. You seem to think it means Blake is a reserve grader.

sterlos wrap is worth a watch, does some film review about the defensive issues. Seems like we have really underestimated how important drown is to this team.

Sivo and Drown needed Mennings on their side last year. You seem to think there's a 100% failsafe solution to every coaching question. Everything is a balancing act. Do you think Sivo/Blake/Drown on the left would've worked any better than Ferguson/Blake/Moses? ffs we took steps to rectify it this year with Drown (our strongest defensive half) switching to the right. Ferguson/Opacic/Drown would surely go better but then we have Sivo/Blake/Moses on the left. Do you think that won't be a problem? Maybe we should put Opacic and Drown on both sides of the field ffs
