One of Cam Smiths great abilities was to adapt to almost any high pressure situation.

If he was motivated to coach; he would probably be successful. In the right system.

Yeah maybe. But is he the sort of coach that can only coach great players that are already very good at their game ala Meninga SOO or is he the sort of coach that can get into the ear of project players and young players, like is necessary in the NRL to succeed?

I'm not to sure on that. Slater and Cronk seem more suited to the NRL then Smith would be.

He is a Parramatta man, not just a career coach. I'd say this is his dream job in the NRL, and he is likely to be getting well paid to do so. Why would he leave to coach bottom 4 teams? It's unlikely the club would sack him.
Yea I agree. I don't think he will ever leave unless he is punted. The useless merkin keeps getting extended despite winning f**k all. He has the dream job.

who have coached a grand total of 1 game between them ffs
Not only that but who was the last top line player to turn into a top line coach? Stuart is the only one I can think of and the coaching part is heavily questionable. And if anyone says Mick Potter I will Liam Neeson them

Yeah Pete but how do you explain the 30 against? 9 years of the current systems and our defence remains poor.

Two intercepts, (Carr and Averillo) two tries from kicks (Carr and Averillo). That's 24 points. First Ado-Carr try was a beauty, try by other winger was a good-un too.
Won't take much to turn it around.

Success is failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you never can tell how close you are.
It may be near when it seems afar.
So stick to the fight when you're hardest hit.
It's when things seem worst that
You musn’t quit.

Yeah I know, but hey no risk no glory.

At this point frustration is mounting and a drowning man would even reach out to a purple devils hand to save himself if he has to.

I was told by a Rouse Hill Rhino that this idea was floated awhile back but for a number of reasons never went beyond that
It's like the rep teams. Ba can Manage the players with their issues and make them feel loved and have someone their to have their backs and be straight with them when it's needed.

Then we have someone who is technically briliant who works on the little details and game plan against the opposition.

We’ve got 3 origin players and one or two former players. Yet, we’re still lacking?

there’s only one consistent that’s remained over the past 9 years.
How many Eels players will be selected for SOO 2? Fitler will be under pressure to win in Perth considering that some of his selections for game 1 have raised eyebrows. Paulo will be struggling to make it, RCG and Matto are borderline at best.
