Merkin we went eight years without making the top eight, under four different coaches. Time to stop blaming coaches, no matter how long they've been here. It's not their job to make the club stronger. That responsibility is well above the coach's pay grade.

Do we extend BA now then? Give him a 10yr extension perhaps? Might mean we get his two boys cheaper. Win win.

It's all just luck. Tactics, skill, motivation there all the sam3 across al finalists. It's just about luck.
It is when every coach is doing this stuff. If you come up against a stronger team and they play their best you will lose. That's just a fact. If they don't play their best you might win but it's just luck whether they play their best or not. You can only control your own performances and ours have been good.
We wait for finals then cross our fingers and prey for luck. Perhaps this will be BAs motivation speech.
Ok so if we play our best and Penrith/Melbourne play their best what are our chances?

We had to go for Turava @TheRam remember when I called this. Could of snapped him up for 250k. Huge future this one.
Since we developed Hayne back in 2006 which is 16yrs ago since we've developed an NRL LEVEL fullback Penrith have produced Edwards,Moylan,Dane Laurie and now Turava. Cirghton would also be a great fullback.

We are not developing enough.
We should sign player x from such such club… and then complain about our development…

Given the manner in which Ciraldo has been talked up as being the next great NRL coach in waiting and that he is holding out for the right opportunity, I think, IMO BA would perceive Ciraldo to be a direct threat to his position. None of the assistants he's had for any length of time have had eyes on the top job or been talked up as future head coaches. The closest we had was when Potter was at the club but he was moved on pretty quickly. McGregor's days as a head coach seem numbered so no threat from him in the current set up. When DA was brought back to the club as head of football or whatever that title was, it's no secret BA and DA's relationship was strained. BA's longest serving asistants have been hobo's like Murphy and Kidwell, bloke's that no other NRL team would promote to a head coaching role in a million years and I think that's the way BA likes it...
