I’m not because I want you to work it out. I said formally recognised. Obviously we are talking about Jersey Flegg. Who was recently recognised as the best in that grade?

You can do it, Hooks.

The Steve Ella Jersey Flegg Player of the Year 2023????

…. Ryan Morgan on his best day would struggle to be as good as Penisini.
THAT SAID… Penisini definitely has limitations. He lacks acceleration or height and he can make poor defence reads (but all centres do that). But he is strong and seems a competitor, nor does he appear to be so far up his own asshole he’s unwilling to improve.
Given the club lacks tackle breakers, Penisini is our best. Not bad for a bloke who could’ve been playing Flegg this year.

Jamie Lyon the best centre I have maybe ever seen. Behind Hayne and Hindmarsh he is our best junior. I remember seeing him in NSW CUP and he lit up the field everytime he touched the ball. The whole crowd was standing out at Penrith stadium. He was absolute dynamite and couldn't be held back. With 2nths he made his NRL debut.
I'd go as far as saying had we kept him we win a title.
In terms of centres, Tahu mark i was really good..

In terms of juniors, what about semi?

Because dummy halves are just there to give the ball to Moses and Drown.

They get the big bucks not the dummy half. So just give them the ball and don't run. Is BA's mantra to young dummy halves coming through.
And not just the halves. If there’s a quick play the ball and an opportunity through the middle he could also give it to Paulo or Hopgood.

Bulldogs supremo Phil Gould has landed a double blow on local rivals the Eels by staving off one poaching raid and executing another of his own.

Bulldogs winger Blake Wilson has turned down an approach from Parramatta for next season.
The Eels are on the hunt to replenish their outside backs and identified Wilson, who made his NRL debut for Canterbury in 2023, as a possible target.

Parramatta’s pitch was on the basis of informal talks and with no official offer extended.

A player of promise for the Dogs, Wilson scored six tries in 11-games for Canterbury having joined the club in the pre-season.

Meanwhile, Eels SG Ball winger Cody Parry has been released by Parramatta to join the Bulldogs for 2024.

A promising outside back, Parry represented the Australian Schoolboys.

Granted i didnt see much of our SG Ball team, but we are in a position where we should be releasing junior rep level wingers when our outside back depth is so poor?
