Another one of our promising juniors who is highly rated is more than likely leaving the club. Another solid junior is preferred to him and is keeping him away from his preferred position.

The NRL is set to bring back a 10 day cooling off period for new signings whereby incumbent clubs can convince someone to stay. - as per social media

Problem is it would take MON at least 3 weeks to make the initial contact to convince him to stay.

What's happened to Jayden Yates.

I remember you were talking about him a year or two ago.

Hands has overtaken him as backup dummy half.

I saw someone the other week who knows Jayden & mentioned to me he would be better off moving on.

BA clearly doesn't rate his dummy half game and wanted to use him as a passer only.

Simple solution to this is the clubs cant dont announce the signings publicly until the 10 day cooling off period ends with the NRL signoff on the contract that it cant be backflipped.

I agree there are some quantum leaps that might be made in what seems quite tired coaching... but I'm not yet convinced Penisini will be much better than say Ryan Morgan on a good day? Nothing wrong with being a solid first grader, but it's not the rep-level hype he's previously been afforded in some club articles.

THAT SAID… Penisini definitely has limitations. He lacks acceleration or height and he can make poor defence reads (but all centres do that). But he is strong and seems a competitor, nor does he appear to be so far up his own asshole he’s unwilling to improve.

THAT SAID… Penisini definitely has limitations. He lacks acceleration or height and he can make poor defence reads (but all centres do that). But he is strong and seems a competitor, nor does he appear to be so far up his own asshole he’s unwilling to improve.

He’s solid no doubt but I’ll stick my neck out and state categorically that he will never reach the heights of the last superstar centre we produced (Jamie Lyon).

Because dummy halves are just there to give the ball to Moses and Drown.

They get the big bucks not the dummy half. So just give them the ball and don't run. Is BA's mantra to young dummy halves coming through.

So we are talking about Jacob Davis who played a bit of NSW Cup and can't get a start in Flegg ?

That's cos Lenaz and Guymer can play 9. So we can have 4 forwards on the bench.

Agreed. It’ll come down to dollars. If he accepts he’s in the good, not great category, he’ll be a long term mainstay that only improves the team. If he starts expecting Origin money, it’s not worth being in bidding war
