What is Reece Robson’s status? I think I’d read that he’s only signed with the Cowboys until next season. If 2025 is likely to be a rebuild year anyway, he’d be a very good option for hooker in 26 onwards.
Api Koroisau, Reece Robson and Jacob Liddle have all been pitched to the Eels in the wake of the crushing departure of Reed Mahoney to the Bulldogs.

He is available to talk to tomorrow but we could have had him to replace Mahoney back in 2022.

Instead we went after a shot duck in Josh Hodgson to mentor a young hooker coming through.

One of the all-time great recruitment decisions by our awesome R&R team.

Farewell to the King! It’s been unreal Gutho. Thanks for busting your arse week in week out…

BUT it’s the Ryles Era. The bloke has balls the size of fkn watermelons. Rookie coach and RCG and the King chopped! That gents, is how you turn over a fkn roster!

Any merkin can cut and dice. The real talent is in the buying and growing and at the moment we only have a couple of very small green shoots that could easily die off come winter time.

I want to see some real quality brought into our roster from outside and from within and only time will be the ultimate judge. So far he has removed 3 very, very influential figures who have contributed massively in so many of our successes over the last plus 5 years.

So now we need to wait and see, is he a young football manager/mentor servant or just a change agent hoping that by changing things up that something may turn up and we get lucky?

We should now have a decent kitty to go out and do a Roosters and pilfer some real high end quality from the lower grades of other clubs or one proven star that we need to sure up our current NRL roster with.

Seeing that I don't expect a title next year, I hope he goes for the best juniors that have real pedigree. A young Boyd Cordner or JWH types. That is what I would be looking for. A player or two that you can see from an early age was always destined to succeed and lead. Someone that will change the attitude of the players around him. Yes I know they are very hard to find and even harder to lure away from their junior club, but they exist and they do move for the right money and well presented club at this early stage of their careers if the enticers and inducements are good enough, before they become established.

We need to be looking at being one of those types of clubs. Anything less is a failure by our new coach and administration. We also will have from next year on probably the best COE available in the NRL and that too will add to our resources which are now right up there with the best of them. It all comes down to the people we have hired or will hire and are they of the elite standard to get the results we are all seeking?

Well that is what I would be doing, which would include getting the best possible people in to run our, never to be the finished product it would seem, junior pathways.

Interesting perspective on Gutho from a poster on another site. Point out it’s not my thoughts, think he was an absolute warrior , but perhaps it was time to move him from fullback and elite money..

The guy that held the club hostage over contract negotiations during finals... the guy that did as little fan engagement as humanly possible or the guy that spit the dummy when parra wanted to change positions to help further his career as he aged. Gutho has always gone to the highest bidder the minute it wasn't parra he jumped ship quicker then u can blink “”

But but but but but there was no one better than Baldson, just like there was no one better than Bea Arthur.

So with Sivo ($500k or so) and Gutho ($875k) leaving we must have around $1.2 to $1.4m to spend (depending on Sivo pay out)......and we may also have some of RCG money left too....

gee exciting times......
Yes a real war chest for this coming year so hopefully Ryles starts recruiting genuine NRL players with real potential. Mozer would be a good start and maybe a real good prop.

Weddings cost a bomb these days. Some even go up as high as 80-85k. If you can get them cheap go for it.

I just attended 4 weddings in the past 3 months.

One of by best mates got married in England which was on a Tuesday night which was cheaper.

Reckons it's in the 50k mark when you count flights over there and back.

Another one got married in Mosman my mate said it all up the wedding cost around 60k

Not sure how much it cost for my mate who got married in the Hunter Valley but long weekend in October would have been more.

It cost me $400 a night accommodation for the friday/Saturday night.

I don't how they afford it in the current climate
It doesn’t have to cost anywhere near that but the brides probably want to have Instagram stories that compare favorably to their friends’.

If Gutherson and his manager expect us to chip in for 2025, it will hurt his credibility as a Parramatta great. Wanting a release is one thing, but don’t take the piss.
If Parra pay for him to play elsewhere then they are hurting his reputation. Loyalty goes both ways.

I agree, unless the Saints take on his full contract and we manage to get one or two noteworthy players in return from a rival club, not promising untested rookies.

Reads that the poster is shitty with Gutho and not coming up with much

Strange signing Warriors do have a few halves on the books I assume they will all fight for the number 7 Metcalf should be the 6
Boyd shouldn't be a starting half, at least of any team that has premiership aspirations, but he does provide solid utility value as he can fill in at hooker or halves or 13 at a pinch. Can also goal kick as well as kick in general play... If he's not costing much, which I doubt he would, he'd be an OK buy.
