Not bagging Bradley in any way. But genuinely is he better than Lussick and Hands. And how do they differ? Does he have a running game ? We have lacked that out of dummy half for so many years under the baldy dope.

Lussick (power) and Hands (speed) both have a run game. But with Moses and Drown in the team it’s not what we need from a dummy half. Any opportunity for the dummy half to have a scoot are usually a better opportunity to pass to one of the stars.

I don't care if Brailey takes 0 runs from dummy half. Good passing from the ruck to our halves and good defence is what we need from him. A good attitude on the training park would help too.

I thought 2000-2003 was better then 2004-2010.

To me they are not if you are putting the markers in 2 minds because they know you have a running game then markers are engaged.

Clint Gutherson has a better running game from dummy half than Cameron Smith, who do you think engaged the markers better?

I don’t mind either signing as long as no longer than 2 year deals each as both have obvious risks associated. Brailey is just solid but we can do with that, Hands off the bench to spell him and maybe add a bit of speed around the ruck. As others have mentioned we could use his experience and leadership, this season especially.

I was initially off JAC and still don’t care either way but I do feel he has a point to prove this season. I think he is ready to rip and tear.

Both are injury prone however.

We might be able to get JAC for a two year deal, but I reckon we’d have to offer Brailey at least three years to come down to Parra.

That would be the smart thing to do.

By stepping out towards the marker, drawing and passing, u r engaging the marker. You dont need to have a strong running game to do that. If the marker refuses to engage you just run and gain an easy 10m. No marker defence is going to allow a dummy half to jog up field at will. And if they do engage (likely) then you have taken out a defender for the guy ur passing to.

agree.We weren’t even doing that under Baldy. we need something from dummy half other than passing. If we have a hooker that can create doubt, it will make the halves less predictable.

Depends on how much he’s willing to sign for. Three years at the right price is ok. If we offer him two years then we would have to pay him more.
