When I see a journo label someone as an 'enforcer' all I'm imagining is a big forward who gives away too many penalties and is suspended for a quarter of the season.

NAS and JWH come to mind and are constantly suspended. Better a player with less aggression, more sense and NOT get suspended. May seems to fill that role who plays hard without being suspended (to my knowledge) and I'd be surprised if we are not going for him.
