No doubt true - but was that not the case when he signed his extension?
That he is mysteriously axed doesn't increase his value I wouldn't have thought? I've heard the rumours too, but is that all it is? Might teams also be off him because his family may have a history of being mental?!?

But he is now on the market (for 2025) when only a small number of high level players are similarly available.

I can understand all sorts of reasons for discounting his value (I'm not overly keen on signing him). But you only need one club to focus on the upside, and that will drag his price up.
