I took interest in Brandon Smith’s comments on his podcast with James Graham today. I’m not a fan of the cheese but there is definitely no filter on him.

He was asked specifically what Ryles is like as a coach, and he said a few things.

He stated Ryles was always well loved by the playing group, but that Ryles had the ability to “snap if you were not putting in properly and trust me, Ryles is f**king scary if you are not putting in”. But genuinely said he think Parra are a club who have never had a defensive mindset which is what Bellamy coached upon.

He did go to great lengths to say Ryles was the sole planner and organiser of the Storm defence structures and that the structures he put in place are still being used at the Roosters! He said whatever happens, he’s tipping them to be a great defensive side which he said he believed was all Parra ever needed, a steely edge.

It was hard to listen after that due to my erection but music to many’s ears I’m sure:
You've got ears on your dick?

Well said big dog

After Kearney and Arthur came from the storm system and delivered SFA. I have mild confidence but I am backing Ryles in the long run

He has shown more in 4 weeks then BA showed in 11 years and Kearney well he is Spags legacy for destroying us for nearly a decade.

His power - he pushes people off him for fun.

Penisini is freakishly strong.
The Penis has two big issues. One of them has been a lack of quality on the wing outside him, I’ll never watching him for or five defenders looking for his outside man while Haze Dunster was 30 metres behind the play. If he is moved to the left and has JAC outside him that could be sorted. The second is I think he over thinks his hand a lot of the time, plenty of instances of him knocking on a lose ball he just needs to dive on. He’s still young so he has time on his side to smarten up there.

Yes I know. Stats aren’t useful when they don’t align with your point of view. Much better to go with the eye test of someone who mainly only watches Parra games.
Stats are useful but you have to know how to interpret them. This is where I get my point of view from ffs. The stats+interpretation come first. The opinions follow from there.

Anyway Talakai is the strongest centre in the game. Penisini might be second.
