Rumours and Stuff

Geographically we probably don’t need Souths but the Roosters and Rabbits rivalry is highly enjoyable and good for the game^.
Without both Manly and North’s there would literally be no team representing the Northern Beaches *and* the entire zone between North Sydney and the central coast, including part of the hills (Pennant Hills etc) and the north west, where AFL has made inroads. That would be lot of real estate with no team. It’s a small loss not having a North Sydney based team but not exactly damaging, as would be the case not having Manly as well.
So yeah, I hate seeing Manly succeed but we need them. Sadly we don’t beat them often enough.

^When us and the Dogs are firing it’s as good, if not better, for the game.
Would have been ideal to have a Central Coast Team to replace those 2 teams and incorporate a growing area.

Junior Paulo has lost 10kgs,
Zac Lomax the favourite to take over the goal-kicking.

Ryles has identified early, his intention to improve their defence.

Players have also revealed how the former Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters assistant coach had simplified their defensive structure, making it easier for players to understand their roles.

“but but but but there was nobody better than Brad”
Sounds like BA must have been teaching Algebra when explaining defensive structures to the players.

If the players are finding Ryles message/structures a lot more simpler and getting more clarity from it.

I guess results will be judged once the season kicks off if its more puff piece rubbish from these players or the coaching has been upgraded in a positive way.

Yep.
At the moment it’s all talk. They’re saying all the right things, of course, but they might finish next season with a shitty defensive record again for all we know.

I’ve got my hopes up unfortunately. Hope they don’t disappoint.

Let’s start the season first shall we and then we will lay the boot in. Plus we need a proper sample size of at least a decade before we can convince the turd polisher.

No need to “lay the boot in” for a bloke that’s no longer there. If we are doing well next year we can just enjoy it.

We averaged conceded 30 points a game defensively last year.

If its worse then that next year then seriously some more players need to be cleaned out of the joint.

And i am talking more senior players that have been in the joint for a while

It simply shouldn't happen again.

In a way the excuse is gone for the lot of them as we have changed the coach.

I think the reality is that only one person on the planet didn’t know Brad was up to it any more and that person was Pou

even BA himself knew he had no answers before last season - which was why it “simply had to work this time”

he was out of ideas and for the club to progress we needed a new voice and a new broom

the only people who still can’t see that are the ones whose very online existence and entertainment thrives on the mediocrity and failure of parramatta.

For the rest of us the excitement is off the charts
