The only people I have seen say this are ones like Hineyrulz, hindy111 and yourself when you are trying to either sarcastically or stupidly be hyperbolic about what others have said about the club, which is that we have less resources than other clubs. Which you can’t argue is not true.

The first chicken wing that I remember but the Storm kept doing it until banned. You think of any illegal tactic and Bellyache probably invented it. Shit team with shit tactics and still getting favours from NRL.

But look at our roster in 2011-13 or even 2014, our players were absolute putrid in most cases. The only good thing we did was projectorgate to get rid of the rubbish. Our roster was still fairly ordinary and BA gradually improved it until he didn't.

Our roster in 2009 was good but most of those players we let walk and you'd have to ask why that happened.

You forgot Burt in that group. Looking at old footage I forgot how good a player he was. What we were missing was decent halves and I reckon we could have won a comp.

Probably until recently you were a feeder club for the other 15 teams and didn't seem to appreciate what you had or they didn't want to play for you.

We are a well resourced club one of the top in the NRL

BA did an ok job we should have gone further in the finals a few times.

You can see straight up he did a shit job with working with the football department and that's his legacy...

That all started when Pou tried to us all we had less resources than Manly or the Sharks. Which just might be a stupidly hyperbolic statement as you put it??

And I think it’s more than just us 3 that like to bring it up, most people are sick of the Pou misinformation all bar the Huggy committee.

Salary cap always bites after a bit of success. 2007 to 2009 we did fairly well and unearthed a few youngsters. The salary cap doesn't make it easy to keep them all. Even Penrith has shed plenty of talent these past few years. The difference is they have a conveyor belt of new talent who all seem happy to bide their time in reserve grade, unlike all our little mercenary merkins. Plus they still manage to keep plenty of their top 17. These merkins all were in the top 17 from 2021 to 2024:
