Well, the Panthers Matt’s and Ball side haven’t qualified for the finals in the past 2 seasons, the Parra sides qualified each year, winning Ball in 2023.

Juniors tend to go in cycles and Panthers haven’t been so successful recently. See if that continues, will be at the trial at Windsor Sportsground on Saturday for Matt’s and Ball trials between the 2 teams, always a tough trial for obvious reasons.

It's quite possible their junior recruitment spending was unsustainable and they've wound it in.

They seem illogical because the media doesn't report how much the player and club agreed the PO was worth in dollar figures. Because they don't know.

The observation would be that a strong and confident R&R team together with the coach would not allow themselves to be bent over for multiple players. Storm, Penrith and even the despise Roosters wouldn’t find themselves in that position.

We've lost a bunch of players in recent years rather than agree to their demands.

FFS yes we have most POs but storm only had one less and look how they travel

the reason we probably have POs in the first place was , if many of you recall a few years back our guys went down to the storm to see how they go about R&R (I believe when Jim first become our ceo) and they tried to follow the storm how they do business as they were the benchmark club and that when we started taking an age to resign players.

the issue isn’t the POs as much , the issue is in my opinion which is brads fault , was he didn’t ever get the buy in of the players to the club and supporters like the storm have with their players. And that stems from king mercenary gutho who f**ked us with each new contract by playing it out in the media (that was the culture he lead at the club)

Whilst I agree sometimes you can have 2 or 3 real good players surrounded by average ones and not look good.
Add in the guys playing up and age as well. And the final product. I mean you'd rather develop one Moses over 5 average halfbacks for example.
