Cheating the cap was the sin we needed to do to absolve us of political instability that would kept following this club decade on.

Its a black mark against the club historically to be known as cheats but realistically its what had to happen for the club to better itself off the field. And long-term it already has its benefits.

And tbh most other fans from other clubs never bring it up that we cheated either they have forgotten or they dont care. The only time its brought up is on here by Parra fans.

Roosters cop more heat and jokes about cheating then us.

Fans from other clubs are too busy putting shit on about our nearly 4 decade Premiership Drought.

Not to sound churlish… My heritage is Polish/Ukrainian (depending on pre/post WW2 borders, and only one generation back), Irish, Scottish, English, and quite possibly a smidgeon of French, if you go back far enough.
Each of those nations and cultures have offered plenty of value or produced people who did.
I could choose to be proud of any of them and likewise, link my identity to any of them but it has never occurred to me to do so because I’m Australian, first and foremost.
That, and I don’t have enough arms to wave that many flags.
We have a country, a culture, and a flag that’s ok to be proud of too. And it’s common to all of us.
