I was really pleased to hear Zac's comments regarding Ryles' status as a "student of the game" as it were.

Arthur did a very good job for us, but I think it's fair to say that we had a plan A, and no plan B to fall back on, under his tenure.

It seems that Ryles is a little more adaptable, and tactically astute, which is exciting.

Judging by the 28 profiles on the official site, it looks like Kautoga was upgraded since his signing announcement. It also looks like the rumour was true that Samrani’s first year was outside the top 30, despite no mention of it in the signing announcement.

Anyway we’ve already decided he will be good enough for the top 30 in 2026. It can’t hurt to upgrade him if we need to meet the top 30 requirements. We’ve obviously done it in recent years.

Not really. It depends on whether he wants an extra player for the top 17 or just the top 30. There’s a lot more of the latter available this time of year than the former.

Simmo resigned after his ACL. Russels never done much to attract interest from other clubs. Id guess combined it costs no more then 400k. Two back ups would cost 260k. If someone steps up I can see both in NSW CUP. I'm ok with having those as back up quality and 140k out of pocket under cap

It’s funny you ask this, I literally asked this afternoon the guy I know who is close with him at work and he said they were expecting him to “play plenty of back row for the Eels”… I was quite shocked as I thought he was a centre but I was told he is training there, no centre / wing stuff. Apparently that’s where they were planning to use him at Dogs too.

His passing comment was “you do know how big and athletic he is right, he’s a total specimen!”.

My friend btw played 21’s for an NRL club so he’s not talking through rose coloured glasses.

BA knew how to use him. He was always good at polishing turds. Has a very high strike rate.
