Saw this on another website and have to say it’s what I would have liked to have written, close to the mark summation of the Dylbro situation

“1It’s just his management leaking bits of information they want out there . Theres absolutely no reason for them to go public with this info except they want it out there. Its clearly part of their negotiation tactics. Unfortunately the fans are the big losers in all this. Having to wake up every day to a new headline about a player theyve embraced since day 1. It does no body any good but the game, the club and his management are all at fault to varying degrees.

Here's the thing, Dylan has a world class 7 next to him here, a club that is completely changing its culture with reports from players who have been here long and short that the vibes are incredible.. a high class coaching staff, and a roster that in one off season has become more balanced and younger than it has been in years .. the future here could be so bright. Add to that we have world class facilities, a strong rugby league brand .. These all add up to a situation and environment that can be great to be involved in. I'm not sure on the face of it that clubs like Newcastle, Gold Coast , Dragons etc can offer the same.. signing a 10 year deal with any of them is a massive massive risk for a kid who has yet to play his best football and any disruption can throw off course.

Hes a 24 year old that has so much to achieve in the game , the clubs that can afford to offer him desperation contracts don't have a lot going for the at the moment. If he doesnt want to buy into whats here and commit to helping this club achive its goals over the next 3 year im not sure he was ever the sort of bloke that was going to fully commit everything to the success of a club. If we're to win a comp we need guys who invest everything into the btterment of themselves and the team. Time will tell what Dylan wants from his career but i think his decision will tell us a lot.”

Whilst Dylan is a great player with a tonne of potential. I don't see how (especially if we are upgrading Moses) for the balance of the squad having 2 x 1m+ Halves is a good idea.

IMO we were always going to lose one of them at some stage.

I reckon team would break salary cap down and Dylan would fall into the SPINE category.
Iongi and Hands would probably be the cheapest 1 & 9 in the game. Around 600k combined. Most sides would allow 3 mill for the spine you'd imagine.
Sides like STORM have Wishart,Pezet and Faalgo as spine back ups. You'd imagine that's 1.3mill there. Grant,Paps,Munster,Hughes would hit close to 4. Min 3.5mill.
They'd have 5 million tied up on spine.

For some reason people on this forum think that investing good money in spine players is bad.

We should follow the knights model

Great post. If he stays I’ll be surprised.

I think everyone knows that he will need to go to a shit club to earn bigger cash than he's on. Jarome Luai did that, and even then we find out that he has cheeky PO's.

I think he stays.

To be honest, if they throw that sort of cash his way, it would be a difficult decision, But seriously, given how the club stood by him, if he leaves that shows just how untrustworthy and ungrateful he is. Not a culture driven players response, greedy managers and a player ready to jump ship, not a good look. Munster, Papehuyzen, Dearden etc all stayed for less than offered elsewhere as they were given the break and support where they currently were playing.

Not sure it’s an advertisement for the player if he moves on.

Did any of those 3 you mention sell themselves to the rest of comp like this clown we currently have. And have it played out in the media.

I am sure there agents didn't send an explicit email saying "Franchise Player available" start the bidding.

Munster is a good example he stuffed up and let Melbourne down with his actions.

He could have got 500-600k more a season at the Dolphins if he really wanted it plus he has already won a comp. But opted to stay.

The article in the paper today was all manager driven its almost been a month and its sounding like its getting a bit desperate to try and squeeze parramatta for more cash.

Considering what he is dished up on and off the field in the past 2 years.

Just go Dylan we don't need you and your crap.

Dylbro needs to examine the managers he employs and their tactics, they are renowned for this sort of sh*t, even compromising the signature of a player under their control. Like I said , it’s not a good advertisement for the player himself, but don’t think he’s the sharpest tool in the shed, so he needs to survey what’s happening to his reputation.

Not sure but believe the club assisted his parents when they sought to come from NZ to help Dylbro, and are living in the area even now.

Just make a decision and we all move in, PSM Group are not well regarded generally and they also have a few more of our players on board.

It's pretty much the Central Coast Stadium that was state of the art cool in 2000.

I moved to Terrigal so I drive past this every day. I went to see The Mariners with my daughter and if that’s not one of THE best NRL grounds I must be losing it. It’s a basic design but the whole joint looks over the water. Don’t compare that Panthers shithole with this joint it’s great!
