Instead of arguing about POs (been done to death all summer) should be asking why we didn’t do more with Fogarty when we signed him up
Coincidence that we decided to limit the number of POs?We let Merkins leave though..
Maybe they would have if we'd offered those players POs.Reed Marata Ice all while we had POs so they didn't really do their job.
Maybe we didn't have enough of them? We made the finals four straight years with player options. Why are they bad again? Because we missed the finals twice? We also slide down the ladder with POs
I’d honestly rather see Will Penisini in the six jersey…Let Dylan go... Take a punt on Bevan French?
Also interesting that we had so many POs when we were making the finals, and deadshits didn't know or care until we did miss the finals.

He's definitely a late bloomer. Didn't play his first full season until he was 27. I suppose it's because he is small and not especially quick, he had to really work on his game so he wouldn't be a liability. Kudos to him for staying in the system as a backup for that long. Plenty of blokes quit if they haven't made it by 23.Instead of arguing about POs (been done to death all summer) should be asking why we didn’t do more with Fogarty when we signed him up
Yeah agreed. They only became a big deal when we started losing and suddenly every decision the club made was blamed for it. Even decisions we made while we were winning. That's why I warn that rugby league media is for angry deadshits. So what your saying is that they could mean nothing or mean everything just like not having POs

If you can't understand the short-term benefits then I guess that's your problem. So far we have had more success with player options than without them. So maybe wait for the results before crowing about knee jerk public statements from club officials. We only deceived to limit POs this year?
Maybe we did any the players just wanted the money.
If you can't understand why they are bad for a club planning for the future than I guess that's your problem.

Spoke to 'the Fog' a few times at training. He did'nt show a great deal while he was with us and did'nt like Sydney at all. Slow enough that he was run down by Josh Papalii when playing for Titans against Raiders after being well in the clear. Nice bloke to talk to, glad he's now doing well.Instead of arguing about POs (been done to death all summer) should be asking why we didn’t do more with Fogarty when we signed him up
Die on that hill you crazy dumb merkin.Harper still an NRL backup, Arthur still coaching, and our PO strategy got us into the finals four straight years. We've gone downhill on the field since Arthur was sacked and even more since we offered our last PO.
You gotta admire his staunchness....Die on that hill you crazy dumb merkin.
Only one fwt still arguing about PO’s !!!Instead of arguing about POs (been done to death all summer) should be asking why we didn’t do more with Fogarty when we signed him up
So what does bring you long term success? Not offering player options? I'm pretty sure the Tigers didn't have them during their three-peat.I understand the short term benifits but that doesn't bring you long term success.
The club is responding to pressure from the media. They had no problem with POs while we were making the finals year after year. You are the only one arguing for POs now even the club has moved away from them.
That is a separate issue from whether contracts include player options. But obviously if we spend enough on pathways and poach enough future Origin players, we won't need to offer POs. We will be able to replace first graders much easier and will be able to literally tell them to tAkE iT oR lEaVe It!!!Like I said it doesn't seem like you understand the long term plan from the club with their juniors and development.
Who's dying ffs? I keep shooting down your dumb arguments to the point where personal attacks is all you have left.Die on that hill you crazy dumb merkin.
