I'm curious to know, by letting both RCG and Gutho go a year early, who did this actually enable us to sign for this year?

It certainly wasn't 400+ NRL games and any Leadership.

It is a good question certainly we aren't paying full freight for either this year.

I assume it's to top up Moses's pay and a few of the upgrades?

Nope...none of those 3 deserved a cent more than we paid them previously. They're all replaceable minimum wage players.

No player outside of Moses deserves a cent more in 2025 than what they got in 2024.

And we're currently obviously getting f**k all value out of Moses.

I agree 100% but I am just saying I assume we paid them for staying with us.

We really need some new second rowers as well as another winger.. As mentioned we have some coming through in our juniors but they are a few years away.

There isn't many second rowers on the open market for 26 there is a few worth looking at for 27.

RCG would be still better in 2025 than any middle forward we have on our books.

By the end of the year I think Iongi will deserve an upgrade. This year is a rebuild. That extra money in the cap might allow us to extend and front load some players to take pressure off the cap in the next few years
