That's an assumption, not a premise.
You can include that as a possibility, but it may not be so.

The flipside to that is, assuming that it is true, and we didn't offer Brown the extension, he would have finished with the club in 2023 per his previous extension ( https://www.nrl.com/news/2019/12/03/dylan-brown-agrees-to-new-deal-with-eels/ )
Would that have been so bad, not having him here last year??

Ifs/ buts/ maybes - reality is the timing sux, and we shot ourselves in the foot with that.
What’s wrong with the timing? We had our halves coming off contract at different times. What more could we have done? We did well keeping them together as long as we did.

if that applies to his valuation in that article (although it wasn't specifically referred to) it just means that the media can put their own spin on any contract amount

if it is the case here, it is poor journalism
Why wouldn’t they put their own spin on it? They will never be held to account. The clubs aren’t going to come out and share sensitive financial information to prove them wrong, and implications of players being under or overpaid (whichever creates the most drama) don’t meet the threshold for defamation.

they make me sick. WTH has he done to make that demand.
They don't get paid for what they've done, they get paid for what they are likely to do in future. That is based on what they've done but an even bigger factor is their age. Galvin has done f**k all for an NRL player but for a 19 year old NRL player he is phenomenal. Probably one of the best ever.

An Australian Schoolboy last year, the club have high expectations for young halfback Lincoln Fletcher, who likely plays Jersey Flegg this season. He has signed a three-year deal at the club.
Parramatta also talk highly about halfback/five-eighth John Lynn, a Queensland kid, who will play Jersey Flegg or NSW Cup this year.
Young New Zealand-born Apa Twidle played five-eighth in Parramatta’s trial against Wests Tigers.
Parramatta’s SG Ball side is undefeated this season.

He'll reportedly be on 350 000 next year. Assuming as we do that the media inflates salary figures, he could be on less than that.
They inflate them when they are high. When they are low there is more drama in under reporting how much they are on.
I doubt Richo lets him go . He can park him without too much of a hit to the cap.
If he was on enough money for it to be problematic to the tigers cap then it would be a different story.
I doubt he'll be available until 2027 without a comparable playerswap.
Agreed

I'm fairly certain that player salaries are overly exaggerated far more often than they are underexaggerated. If we extrapolate this into real data, using sample sizes as a reference along with Occam's razor, I'm fairly sure we will see that your assertion is one of a dumb bogan Parra supporter.

Galvin is great, but he's no Jarryd Hayne, or Jamie Lyon.

Which happens to be my new catchphrase.
