I told your mate years ago the Bulldogs are closer to a comp.then us. Gould was setting it up. Collecting the best juniors and coaches.
Now we have a side ready to take out the title this season.. Next year they'll be favourites.
Whilst we had some good seasons unders BUSHY we never where a genuine title chance.

Just don’t understand why Manly aren’t putting forward Jake Arthur to replace DCE? ……. Maybe the TCT can explain this phenomena

As a club we are stuffed. We can see the impact of a proper Football manager at the Dogs in PHIL Gould. But we have donkeys in charge who have literally no idea what they are doing. They sign Z grade players and lose talented Juniors.

we need talented football people in charge of our club. Not f**king administrators like Jim and his cronies who are glorified office clerks with no idea about footy. Arthur’s sacked now, they can’t hide behind sacking anyone else. It’s on their heads and they have to go.

Everyone is laughing at Parra. How we continually balls up one of the best Junior nursery with incompetence and wooden spoons is pathetic.

We need a leader like Gould. Not freaking nobody Jim.

The problem with our 2022 false success is that’s the season we should have punted Arthur because the were really good up and coming coaches looking around like Fitzgibbon.
The Sharks are a well resourced club. Their pathways have been strong for decades. They won a comp before Fitzgibbon joined, and in the ten years before he got on board, they only missed the finals twice; 2014 when they ran last, and 2021 (the year right before Fitzgibbon started) when they finished 9th. Coaching isn't the secret of their success.

They have recruited well under Fitz. He came in as a well credentialed young coach. That is a good part of their success.

They recruited well long before he joined the club. This is my point. It's not him doing the recruitment. NRL clubs don't work like that any more. But merkins assume it's the coach because that's how it worked up until the nineties (and later, at the poorer clubs), and so it's how the media continues to report it, aided by the fact the coach is the public face of club management.

You don’t know that

If Tuivati goes we are a development club for other clubs. Why we haven't locked this kid down is beyond belief. Have we actually learnt anything after losing 2 promising juniors last year?
It's difficult to assess if he is suited to the modern game. Yes he's big and agile and looks good at the collision, but what if he has to make three tackles in a row? The modern game punishes forwards who need a rest in the middle of a defensive set. For Tuivati the risk isn't losing him, it's overpaying him, which is what every player manager wants for their players.

You should walk around with a big sign that says “I am PouPou Escobar” so people can know how dangerously stupid and malicious you actually are.

Look at Fisher-Harris. He gets picked up and driven back at least once every week. Tuivati is already a more dangerous runner than he is. But JFH was the key to Penrith's defence. They suck without him, and the Warriors' defence is suddenly much better. These are the types of forwards worth big money in 2025. Effort on effort.

To much risk. Let him go.
