Rumours and Stuff

Defence is clearly the priority atm.

Still too many soft tries and bad decision making. But a few people reckon have pointed out to me yesterday they have seen little improvements.

Our attack is Z-Grade but i suppose without your general not much you can do. But limit the damage.

Attended the last 3 games our players are still too stagnate off the ball

Will Moses solve this when he comes back if his support players ain't moving in motion then will he just crabbing sideways waiting for someone to run hard and straight with him.

Dylan Walker may be a point of difference with our attack inside the 20m which is incredible to think because he was one of the last person i thought would end up at our club let alone the thought of him being a potential saviour 2 weeks ago.

Basically our issue in attack people watching and not playing decoy or backing up ready for an offload..

Reduce expectations and reduce pressure. He is obviously finding the whole shebang difficult. I don't buy that he is tanking or sulking.

Keep him in the team and move the limelight away from him.

I don't think he's tanking either. What would he possibly have to gain? Fact is, though, that the rookies are probably looking to him for leadership on the field. And he's not providing it - at least in attack.

Who needs to watch games when you can just check the stats after ffs!!
The only stat that matters is the score ffs. When you’re scoring more tries per game than the premiers, the problem isn’t your attack. We conceded almost 30 points per game last year. The only attack in the NRL that could’ve covered that was the Roosters.

.
The other thing is that it is not really 100% ingrained in them yet as sometimes they get off very quickly ala BA style
A lot of rolling over the tackle and being left behind at the ptb. Not intentional but an issue for sure.
Definite changes but nowhere perfected at this stage.
Sadly this style requires defenders to hit hard and stick. Unfortunately we have some on our roster like Lane who will never perfect this.

What is so frustrating to me is all the errors. I could understand it if we were playing some good attacking footy, but we are making errors on the basics.

Correct......there was quite a dare I say "good patch" in that 2nd half where we were in the arm wrestle going set for set in D for it all to be undone by a dropped bomb by Russell and drop ball from Kiti which Manly score on the back of to snuff out any chance of a fightback.....so frustrating.

Throw in Lomax’s ridiculous tap on pass to no one. That was a momentum killer. Put him at wing where he belongs.
