"We like what Jock Brings defensively"Sounds like he would fit in well with our defensive structures then.

Lesser players wouldn't have got a hand on the attacker though.Madden has played 2 QLD cup games this year, made 31 tackles and missed 10.......
this is the last one isn't itIt sucks that we still have the damn Darwin game on the schedule. But we have Canberra right? so for once we will be the team least affected by heat up there. Don't we usually schedule the Cowboys up there - hahaha, so dumb.
Just to clarify, we submit 2 or 3 teams that we would like to play up there and the NRL decides who will play.It sucks that we still have the damn Darwin game on the schedule. Have been in Port Macquarie all week, just replayed the game. Kasey Badger is a blight on the game when in the bunker, Cook told Lealeuai to stay down so the bunker could have time to review the so called tackle. Wasn’t anything and still Badger manages to tell the dope Sutton to put 2 players on report, seriously she is terrible at times. Can’t see any way either Hawkins or Penisini have any concerns.
Which ones ?With some of the senior players seemingly having attitudes like rotten fish atm.
Reading what? Or are you just having a go at BA for being alive? Did you mean to link an article or something? What about the arrogance of BA does he just expect the phone to ring and NRL clubs will give him a job.
Leeds must be over the moon reading this.
They have a coach who already has one foot out the door and can't seem to get out of there quick enough.
The fact Leeds are still middle of the road speaks volumes about his coaching.
And let's not forget the mess Jason Ryles has now been left with to clean up.
With some of the senior players seemingly having attitudes like rotten fish atm.
Wayne Bennett cops heat for the state he leaves clubs in.
We're haven't been left any better under bumbling Brad.
Thanks for the wishes guys. 44 today but feeling very lucky to be happy and healthy and be surrounded by like minded Eels tragics!

Happy birthday mate
I’m exactly one year (minus one day) older than you. I turned 45 on Friday.
Yesterdays game was the best present ever!
He, or anyone else for that matter, could argue we’d be going better if we kept Gutho, RCG (which he would have done) and had Mitch on the field. What about the arrogance of BA does he just expect the phone to ring and NRL clubs will give him a job.

Unfortunately the club has had those ass about for 39 yearsAll that said, apart from winning premierships, avoiding rebuild cycles should be a club goal.
Our premiership window closed in 2023 when we missed the finals. He, or anyone else for that matter, could argue we’d be going better if we kept Gutho, RCG (which he would have done) and had Mitch on the field.
Which I think could be true, but then we’d be hampered long term by not rebuilding, which I don’t think he would have done like JR.
Actually…maybe we wouldn’t be doing better. If he was still here we’d be running out with Sivo, Gutho, RCG, Carty, Matto, Lussick, (maybe) Boods, Asi, and probably a few cheapie plodders her picked up in the off season.

We've started our rebuild and have only spent 1 year in the bottom 4 so far.Our premiership window closed in 2023 when we missed the finals.
The decline was there. Unfortunately we wasted 12 months hoping to turn it around but dug ourselves a deeper hole.
And i agree it's so frustrating we do these continuous rebuild cycles. Look at clubs like Manly/Cronulla they seem to always be avoiding these cycles and manage to stay competitive enough to spend 2-3 years in bottom 4 to rebuild.
