Rumours and Stuff

Can you explain how this is incompetent? How does his media gigs give him any advantage when signing players. I don't understand.
“Lachlan Galvin will earn more money than any other NRL player.” - seems to me Gould has put a price tag on Galvin for Wigers on any other club to match without the need for Dogs to actually table an offer. Even if the Dogs aren’t interested, the notion of more money definitely affected the Wigers.
“Be the best 22-year old player you can be then the big contracts will come.” - hey great we got you away from Wigers but I’m well-respected rugba leeg analyst Gus Gould but actually what you don’t want to do is go to a club for the biggest contracts.

Is it enough of a difference to sway Galvin? Maybe, maybe not, but the NRL allow him to be a club official knowing full well he’s on multiple 9 shows and other media which allow him tell any agenda under the guise of him being the great NRL analyst. If you don’t see how that gives him an unfair advantage and thus incompetence from NRL to allow it then I’ll need to dredge up all the whinging about rules, passive aggressive comments on NRL officials and refs, and his other views on how clubs handle matters.

Is it pulling the team together or just a group of players.
Galvin is still contracted at the club for 2 more years.

That's not good Kulcha.

Moses nor Galvin said anything in the media the club blew it up.. They could have done it quietly instead they thought they needed to come out and make Galvin the Coach Richo now the players look like gooses..
Just because it’s not good workplace culture, doesn’t mean it’s bad rugba leeg kulcha. I actually think it’s the type of kulcha that can improve NRL sides (or very rapidly and spectacularly implode).
Turuva is a f**kwit but it’s also a small number of NRL greats who weren’t also f**kwits (I don’t think Turuva is a great, he’s just a f**kwit).

Sunia Turuva is the greatest winger of all time - just ask him.

Easy to turn your entire squad over if you're happy to win three straight spoons. There's nothing amazing about it. We won half our games in 2014 (just like the Tigers so far this year) and we only won two spoons, plus a 14th place finish in 2011.
it would of been easier had they had someone like Richardson earlier too?

it's amazing what happens when you also have the right people on board to make it move and shake..

I dont remember Luai or Turuva telling Penrith not to bother with an offer 18months before the end of their Contracts, I dont remember either of them going to the media to shit all over their coach or team mates with 18months to go on their Contracts....I do remember Turuva and Luai playing great football and winnin gmultiple premierships and earning a massive Contract upgrade......

I dont see any similarity, but you keep up the cognitive dissonance in the hope he is coming to you (he is).

If he goes to Dogs you guys will be on the Luai & Turuva train
I don’t hope he comes (back) to us, never said anything like that.
He might actually have a reason beyond money (i don’t know, don’t care), which could be seen as a higher motive than money. So a couple of guys who were driven purely by money having a crack at him says something, doesn’t it?
It might say those guys are ok with any decision driven by money but can’t understand any motive outside of money.

Except Turuva’s post seems to suggest they have problem with him chasing money

And now Galvin has said it isn’t.
I don’t care either way, it’s just a bit rich for players who openly discuss their limited (lifetime) earnings potential from the game, dumping on another player.
They all say it’s a business.
If he leaves for money, it’s hypocrisy from them.
If he leaves for reasons other than money, and they don’t understand that, it says more about them than him.
As for respect for the club. I get that. But wasn’t it Api who, after winning a premiership, was filmed joking about the unlikelihood he’d ever get a premiership ring from the tigers??

I don’t think anyone has ever held NRL players up as having above average intelligence

If you check the reactions to this post, you’ll see @Tiger5150 agrees with me. I presume it’s the part about Turuva being a f**kwit he agrees with.

Yep Api started laughing at the prospect of winning a comp at the tigers.

Daine Laurie was in a Penrith jersey celebrating the night they beat us while still contracted to the Tigers.

In a way the Tigers have been too nice for too long its why they are where they are.

So i can understand Tigers fans getting pumped up by a bit some of the social media bullying because all of sudden players that are there are standing up for there club which has been lacking for a long time.

As i said last night the players telling the coach they dont want a bar of him is fine.

Even Terrell May apparently got up and told him to f**k off when he addressed the playing group behind close doors which is perfectly fine.

Luai sending a message to fans Team First i can wear. He is letting the fans know were all in this together. Which i can understand.

But having woken up this morning and thought about it more the Turuva one is a disgrace. That bloke has been there 5 mins and shopped himself around to multiple clubs last year.

To take a photo of someone's else locker and then mock him and you have to remember he is 19 years of age so still not a mature adult is pathetic.

Funnily enough someone on wikipedia has called him a hyprocrite.
