You know there’s a search function. It’s just limited and I don’t want to post all the associated posts but sure you’re only here to praise our club and players.

Did you bookmark that for @Avenger for when Galvin resigns or goes?
Is this part of your process for finding my post where I "chuckled" and "thanked Parra for letting him go"?
Trust the process son, dont give up now,,,,.....keep digging.

FMD do you need everything to be literal for you?
I’m sure you didn’t actually chuckle.
Anyway it’s Easter, have a day off from Eels forum, and come back next week and tell us how good you think Galvin is

Journos are joining the dots. Lochie bought an ice cream from Con’s corner shop in Toongabbie. Con’s brother-in-law knows a bloke who washes cars. He said that when Galvin was 16 …

The secret meeting that sparked Benji Marshall–Isaac Moses feud

Benji Marshall versus Isaac Moses is currently one of the biggest feuds in rugby league, but the reason they have fallen out has remained a secret – until now.
Marshall, through his brilliant media performance on Thursday, is winning the public relations battle. The problem is Moses doesn’t care about that, and Marshall is likely to lose the Lachlan Galvin war. It appears it is now up to Marshall and CEO Shane Richardson as to how many people are wounded or killed off, from a professional standpoint, in the process. At the core of it all is the Marshall-Moses feud.

Neither side is volunteering the source of the dispute. Marshall’s people say it may be because of the coach’s need to stand up to Moses, and more recently because of the nature of the John Bateman and David Klemmer exits from the Tigers. Both of those men are Moses clients.
But it’s deeper than that. My sources say it stems back to a secret meeting between Marshall, Mitchell Moses, Tim Sheens and Isaac Moses in early 2023.
That meeting was held when Mitchell Moses was negotiating his contract and exploring the idea of a return to the Tigers. At the meeting, Isaac Moses believed Benji’s body language and attitude towards Sheens was disrespectful.
It was not raised at the meeting. Instead, Moses let him know as much via a phone call the next day, and Marshall told him what he thought of that viewpoint in a direct way. The pair have been off each other since.

Moses would not be drawn on the matter when we asked for comment. It has been suggested to me that Sheens and Marshall are no longer close.
Marshall has the strong backing of his team in the battle with Galvin and Moses, but he may have reason for concern. Moses’ list of grievances with the club regarding Galvin is said to contain at least 15 points.
Marshall is aware of some of them, and there are some very damaging claims which he will challenge strongly. He may even wish to consider enlisting the help of lawyers. It has the potential to derail Wests Tigers’ season.
Marshall will be wondering how things changed so quickly with Galvin. About six months ago, he asked me not to write about him going to dinner with the Galvin family as part of the wooing process

It was a very positive experience, but the coach didn’t want the information to be made public as the conversations were ongoing and he was worried about harming the relationship.
That’s now small fry compared to what’s happened. Marshall may be fighting for his coaching life if the season goes south on the back of this dispute.
Richo responds to Galvin rumours
The pressure on Lachlan Galvin was ramped up a month ago – he was told that unless he was going to commit to the club long term, he was facing time in reserve grade. He was rattled.
This has been documented and was dealt with by CEO Shane Richardson. He defused the situation at the time and tried to rectify what had been said to Galvin by others at the club.

But what will become an issue is that Galvin has not been part of “spine” meetings, and has been removed at times from wrestling sessions. That annoyed other players, but it was not Galvin’s call.
Richardson strongly responded to the saga on Saturday.
“It’s absolute rubbish ... this is part of a smear campaign of a legend of the club. Benji deserves more respect. I don’t know why you blokes believe this stuff. What I will say is that this won’t work – Lachlan Galvin will not be getting a release,” he said.
These are just some of the problems at the Tigers. And they won’t be the major points in his move to get out of the club on the terms of being arguably in a workplace that’s unsafe to continue working in.

Anasta keeps on swinging
Fox Sports host Braith Anasta has chosen an unusual time to try and pick fights with a host of people at the Nine network.
Anasta said on a podcast he wanted to fight this columnist. He also had a verbal crack at most of Nine’s league commentators and experts.

A desire to take a physical approach is an interesting one, given the cultural issues at Fox. It is even more interesting given his new bosses from DAZN have been in town to look at the network they have purchased.
As we revealed three weeks ago, DAZN chief Shay Segev was taken to the Rabbitohs-Roosters clash earlier this month by Fox’s top brass. He was also taken to the AFL, where Aussie rules great Nathan Buckley explained the game to him.
As that was going on, Anasta was saying he wanted to belt a journalist and also bagged people at Nine.
It appears the pressure is getting to Anasta as he struggles to balance his role as a prominent player agent and a commentator. His bumbling was so bad that he dropped the “f” word on live TV this week after he stuffed up an introduction. That didn’t stop him getting stuck into a fellow player agent without declaring his possible conflict of interest.
Perhaps the presence of former host, the well-respected and conflict-free Ben Ikin, on the show rattled him.
Whatever the case, wanting to bash people and abusing them in text messages is not smart. Some of the messages – voice and text – are damaging for Anasta.
Fox is still reeling internally over the Paul Kent issue, which led to his departure from the network. Kent drank 21 schooners and ended up in a street fight, which led to him being tossed into a tree

The concern for Fox is it was clear to everyone that Kent needed help given a number of stressful situations in his life and the pressure of being in the public eye.
If anything was done to assist Kent, it didn’t work.
Also on Anasta’s NRL 360 show and podcast is Fox’s troubled chief league reporter James Hooper, who went to Vegas and disappeared without filing a story or making an appearance on the network that pays his wage.
The smart approach from Anasta would be to keep his head down instead of saying he wants to bash people about 15 years older than him.
This columnist is definitely not Mike Tyson, but I’m not so sure that Anasta doesn’t think he is Jake Paul.
Anasta had his chance for a street fight when Latrell Mitchell called him out at a Surry Hills restaurant after consistent criticism of the Souths superstar.
Anasta has not been featuring in this column recently, so maybe he missed seeing his name in print.
He’s in denial about the core issue that we have brought up previously – his role as a player agent and a television host is a potential conflict that many players’ agents are not happy about.
To try to dismiss the criticism, Anasta chose instead to attack the Nine network and its highest-profile figure Phil Gould in a podcast, calling him out because of his dual roles as a TV expert and the boss of the Bulldogs. None of this was new.
He then tried to attack the likes of Paul Gallen, Billy Slater, Cameron Smith and even Andrew Johns but barely laid a verbal glove on them.
It was not a well-considered or well-thought-out rant, but it has been noted by some of the people who he thinks are his mates

Free agency for TV stars
Two of rugby league’s highest profile media personalities are off contract – but be certain at least one of them, Phil Gould, won’t be going anywhere.
And despite the obvious appeal, especially to breakfast radio, Matthew Johns will have Fox Sports throw a huge offer his way.
Gould is the biggest and most influential voice in rugby league in his position as a 100% Footy panel member, podcaster and commentator on Nine’s football coverage. No one provides better insight or generates more headlines than Gould.
News Corp fills its papers with his views. Tuesday nights on Fox Sports’ league shows are flat unless they are responding to Gould’s comments. The obsession is real.
Johns is a different beast. He is the lovable larrikin who has made a huge career at Fox after starting at Nine, where he was an established star. He was linked to a coaching job, but would be mad to leave the cushy roles he has right now.

Lachlan Galvin’s management sends Wests Tigers legal letter over alleged bullying
The Lachlan Galvin saga at the Tigers has taken another dramatic turn after his management sent the club a legal letter alleging their client has been bullied.

Lachlan Galvin’s stoush with the Wests Tigers has dramatically escalated after it emerged his management had sent the Wests Tigers a legal letter alleging their client has been bullied and not provided with a safe work environment.
Coach Benji Marshall addressed claims of bullying at a press conference last Thursday after teammates used social media to comment on Galvin’s decision not to re-sign with the club beyond 2026.
Marshall defended the players for having an emotional reaction to losing Galvin.
“I don’t think he’s been bullied by the other players,” he said.
“Emotional responses to things happening might seem like it, but there’s been no sense of bullying at our club, and we don’t stand for bullying.
“I talked about it with the team this morning, and that’s not us. We’re not bullies, our players are not bullies.
“They had an emotional reaction to one of their teammates, but it’s not bullying. I can guarantee that.”
More to come

Posting stuff on social media, is pretty much bullying (whether you agree or not), it was stupidity by Luai/Turuva (no matter how innocent it was/was not).....played straight into Moses hands....then tigers not making any statement about it (as far as I am aware).....

Galvin is still a teenager/rookie, so makes it even worse look.....

It was so public and evidence is there. He didn’t want to sign so they Dropped from the team, social media bullying. They’ll have to release him to make it go away or be taken through industrial relations case which would be a legal nightmare as well a massive distraction for management and players. They have no legs to stand on they are screwed.
