Is it because of the vast choice in social media, maybe it’s all the footy based podcasts or is it something else?

Might have something to do with the lack of talk about football and various ideas people have which seems to have decreased over the last few years in favour of posters preferring to play the man.

Coaching was the problem along with recruiting the role that type of player the club required.

It seems like they have a style they want to play and it's coming from the bottom up as well which is good..

Watching from Ball to Flegg to CUP you can see the style we are playing and developing.

Years gone the sides all seem detached in the style the club wants.

The premise of your post seems to be that Ryles is a disappointing failure - you are of course entitled to believe this but it is yet another of your quixotic attempts to burnish the legacy of Brad Arthur

You are an idiot if you think people are disillusioned with the result of the coaching change.

Ryles is embarking on a massive and necessary roster and cultural change….but you just keep tilting at those windmills

BAs time was up. His voice was no longer resonating with the players. He was also slow and negligent in replacing or making the tough calls to move a player a yr early but instead keeping players a yr too long if not longer.
I'm sure Ryles and the coaching staff are going to great lengths to install the style they want the whole club playing..
With a full team we are very competitive.
Lomax back as well will be a big boost.
Need to make sure we resign who we want now before the raids start happening from Bears and PNG...

I don't think he's a failure at all, but I also didn't think Arthur's was a failure. They both got the best out of the roster they have.

But since you brought him up, it's a load of bullshit he was a cancer on the club....without him, we would have truly been f**ked in 2016 and ongoing years if he didn't stay on instead of taking the huge manly offer.......making the finals in 2017 after the pre years shit shows...set the standard, that finals was the expectation rather then podding along like the tigers.....

Yeah we can all disagree on BA's recruitment, playing style etc etc etc....but he did make the finals , 5 times, top 4, 3 times and made a GF over 11 years (could have been 7 if not for the 2016 and 2023 shit shows caused by others)....not elite level, but pretty decent considering the previous years before he got here...and far from a cancer...
