I only come here for the BA talk.
Sooo many people apparently.Who cares….this is now a moot point!!!
I’m sure that’s in the process, hopefully those days are overFor someone else if we don't sign him to a top30 contract.
Most of those players played their best footy at our club. How would you know if they got the best out of their rosters?
Ryley Smith was unwanted by the Panthers as well. Meanwhile Matt Arthur walked into a top 30 contract at another team. He has held his own in reserve grade since he was still eligible for SG Ball. You don’t do that without talent. And he is still younger than Smith was when he arrived at our club.i never took much notice of the nepo stuff
but MA v RS
what are you suppose to think???
Everyone in the club is eligible by mid year. Was Riley Smith eligible for first grade selection last year?
Nepotism was used to describe the local comp, not pathways recruitment/retention. If anything we kept some youngsters on the cheap because of nepotism rather than losing them to better offers. Matt Arthur wasn’t even top 30 at our club, but he is now.Well one of the guys that’s still with our club used the N word to describe BA many times. And it wasn’t because he was bald either.
I hear that BA isn’t a certainty to get the Perth gig anyway. The Norths board want a say too.

Good on Smith for improving, but there’s a reason the Panthers let him go.
Wonder if the roosters dogs and storm are paying only $5kIf you are lucky....it's stuff all for a standard flegg player....

Sommerton is a decent backup Hooker and the 2nd one I assume you mean Toelau? He played for the Kiwi’s last year so goes pretty good also. Billy Scott is the next man who has massive wraps on him.Sounds like what the Dogs said to Reed!
Bet Panthers Would like to have Smith now.
Better than thier other 2 current backups.
But their other kid coming through apparently is pretty decent!
He was well down the pecking order for the same reason he was unwanted at Penrith. Good on him for deciding to have a go though. Hopefully he can score himself a top 30 contract.he was probably well down the pecking order cause he was behind MA thanks to the previous staff
ffsI definitely understand the reason some think that.... (while also of the opinion that MA is a very good player and on form deserved to be playing NSW cup....2 coaches other then BA have picked him..)...
however a good indication is what other NRL sides are doing, Smith has definitely surprised me this year (after I thought he was terrible in his first trial against the knights)....the kid is 22 this year and no other NRL Sydney club including us were willing to offer him an NRL or development contract until a week before the season started...
Absolutely well done by Smith, to get to where he is now....but it's pretty clear, no other club rated him that highly either.......

Tuivaiti has an NRL contract right now, aged 20. If he doesn’t have one for next year it’s because he’s holding out for the best offer. Is Smith holding out for a better offer? He accepted a development spot for this year and next, when he will be turning 23 ffs. If there were top 30 offers why didn’t he take them? Matt Arthur got a top 30 offer straight away. He is an elite playmaking dummy half for his age group. He was playing Flegg last season and his first for us.. are you aware of the contract talk he had with the club when he signed?
Sam Tuivati doesn't have an NRL contract for next season either.. f**k kids not rated highly
Unless you were with me and this particular person when he said this to me, I really don’t know what your point is.Nepotism was used to describe the local comp, not pathways recruitment/retention. He’s actually the kids godfather. From his dads best mate
