There was talk of that last year. I wouldn't be opposed to that.

But I would rather we look to have the 2nd team in the South Island of NZ in Christchurch as the 20th side.

Like honestly the Warriors are getting as big as the All-blacks.

And you can build the rivalry between the two NZ sides.

And chew into the rugby talent on the south island of NZ

PNG coming in is a waste of an expansion side.

Fogarty, Leo Thompson. We actually need a hooker (brailey / Robson / Smith) and a middle (Thompson). But no we have sat on our hands.

Not sure if Moses/Fogarty would be ideal combo.
Brailey we tried to get him for this year, Knoghts said no. People were concerned with his injury history when we did try, how’s it going to be with another year in him?
Brandon Smith isn’t worth the risk IMO especially when we already have JAC.

Thompson & Robson assuming they would even entertain us, are probably the misses due to not having control of our squad/cap. If you know Brown is leaving, maybe you chase Robson.
If you know Paulo maybe retiring, maybe you chase Thompson.

Zero Tackle says we were interested so maybe it just came down to dollars. Canberra reportedly offered him around $900k a year for 4 years. I think that’s the upper limit of his value already. There may be some moving to Canberra tax but assuming Dogs were at least in realms of that, that’s more it is what it is. Or would people offer him $1m a year?

I like Starling but I don't think buying him works especially when we are developing Smith it seems now. In 2027 he will have almost 50 games under his belt and still be 24.

Hooker is one of our issues. We have f**king Hopgood playing there FFS. Starling is only 25 and is a better defender and attacker than anything we have currently.

We need:
2 edge forwards
1 5/8
1-2 props
1 hooker
1 centre/wing

unless people are satisfied with a wooden spoon team.

I reckon if Moses and Lomax stay fit, we can end up on 28-30 points, have changed my tune big time, but have seen improvements and don’t think too many teams are much better, other than the obvious few

I wonder if walker could play the first 20mins at 9 then move to 13. Play 60 - 70 mins total

Probably should also get a new Fullback instead of developing Iongi?

Let's just keep buying players as it's worked in the past and not bring anyone through and develop them

The fact we had Hands available and he was playing CUP tells me we aren't going to recruit a hooker.

Could easily put a hooker on the bench along with Walker.

Could not be bothered going back beyond last game but think it's pretty similar...here are the mins for our 3 bench players other then Walker from this week

Moretti - 21
Tuivaiti - 25
Samrani - 22

Not much at all to cover. Just means with only 2, they have to cover another 20 or so mins.

Actually looking at the tigers game, that is what we did, with the Doorey injury:

Doorey - 6
Moretti - 32
Tuivaiti - 33

And it didn't affect the side. Also reckon the bench forwards could play 40 mins easily if required (probably won't as we want our starters who are better playing the big mins)

Plus we would also have the option on putting one of the hookers on as a middle forward too.

Brandon Smith Type player would be great someone that can play hooker and also a running forward.
