This is what Gould said.....read it over and over and over because it is a concise lesson in itself.."“We’re not thinking about Lachlan Galvin, we’ve never at any stage been involved in any discussion regarding Lachlan Galvin and we’re not going to get into a discussion about Lachlan Galvin. He’s not on our radar,”

He said it all up front. He is saying, "We are not the one doing the f**kery, he is not available for negotiations...we will let Parra do all the dirty work until we can."

Hate the game not the player, and Parra started the game. Gould would not have been able to believe his luck.
You can hate the player but still respect them. He blatantly lied when he said they weren’t thinking about Lachlan Galvin. At least Ryles was honest about it.

Defence can be learnt and will come with time. Remember when Moses came to parra his defence was terrible now he is one of the better defenders in the comp.

Although be got caught out a few times early he learnt from his mistakes and saved the try in the second half.

I’d go either Joash or Sandon Smith for the right price. Either choice would be a good one.
It's not that Papalii may/may not be able to defend. It's to do with his size.

Oppositions will run big edge forwards at him all game. And chances are he will put himself in the correct position to make tackles, but that may not be enough when giving up 30 plus kgs and forced to make 25 plus tackles a game....

The pass to setup Samrani was beautiful you don't see that from the space cadet.

Then the try he scored was also beautiful the right foot step nice.

Would be getting him time from the bench like it looked like the plan was last weekend.

He may get the wing spot next round if Penisini is ruled out.
Yea I noticed that. Considering how little time he had to even think about that play was outstanding. He caught the ball knew to draw and pass but knew he had to wait for samrani to wrap around was amazing. His running game looks good as-well and he looks quick.

He played one game compared to Galvins 30. Who knows in 30 games Joash could be ahead of Galvin and for a fraction of the price.

The kid looks like a star and we should be persisting.

FOXX EXTENSION

The Parramatta Eels have taken up a one-year option on winger Josh Addo-Carr, who has scored seven tries in nine appearances this year. The 29-year-old former Origin and Kangaroos winger is just three tries short of the 150 mark in his 10th NRL season.

SHOOSH

With old Daly Cherry-Evans heading to the Roosters, we’re hearing Anzac Day medallist Sandon Smith will quit the Chooks at the end of the season. His likely destination is the North Queensland Cowboys. It comes after another outstanding performance from halfback Hugo Savala and five-eighth Smith against Cronulla on Saturday which had everyone in rugby league asking why the Roosters would bother signing Cherry-Evans, who turns 37 in February.

Would be surprised if Smith went to Cowboys, they have Purdue, who they have high hopes for.

I'm really disappointed about this.
I don't know what to think about our R + R committee, and won't comment, but with Brown going, we needed a decent 5/8th and we would have had the funds, + some, to recruit Galvin, without destroying our cap.
I also don't know how the Dogs can do it.
Today has been very disappointing.
Anyway, we move on.

What I completely do not like is the way Gould absolutely played this whole scenario out in the media.
If that is not a conflict of interest within his media interests and his links with the Dogs, I don't know what is.

He is bigger than Ezra Ma'am...

Plus apparently was going to play some hooker last weekend...

He’s listed at 84kg, which is small but Sandon Smith is listed at 82kg. Give or take a couple kg they r probably the same size.
