which part are you referring to?
That Lomax (or anyone else) would take a pay cut to play for a coach he barely knows. I could maybe buy it for a player going to work for one of the elite coaches (Bellamy, Bennett), but even these merkins have well funded recruitment/retention machines behind them. Especially for players at Sydney clubs, I don't believe any of them are choosing a given club for less money, even if it's less on the salary cap.

Remember watching NRL360 last week or week before re:whole Galvin fiasco and the question was asked who would parra chase now...Sandon Smith and Pezet's name was raised and Anasta got really interested in what the other panellists had to say...
It did appear he was looking to move him as probably knew Hughes was extending
He's a decent player but I'm not sure he's the answer or better than the young kids who could take over
At least he has some size about him and not another Samoan midget. We have 3 of those already.

My grandson played 4 years of junior reps and Div 1 in both Parra and Penrith age comps with these boys and school too.

Katoa was offered the keys to Brookvale at 14 , but his parents didn’t want him travelling etc and thought staying at Blacktown Pats would be better for him. Dolphins saw his potential and with Cleary at the Riff, he took a good offer there. So his view is that Isaiya Katoa was easily the best player in that age group, Ethan Sanders below him.Thought Myles Martin was a bit over rated and the 2 forwards coming through he played with were better prospects. Luron Patea at Penrith and Vena Patuki-Case who’s now playing Cup at the Raiders. They were in a Colyton team that beat a St Mary’s team twice when they had been unbeaten for 5 years .

A couple of names to watch.

He would get more than $1.2M on the open market
Not sure about that tbh. Maybe from the bears but that’s about it.

also no other club with a premier half looking for a partner for him, that has significant money to splash

may get $1.2-1.3 somewhere but he wouldn’t have a top half beside him

No player on that much money would have another top half in the team with him, and nor would he want one. Players choose to be 'the man' at a club at least in part because that's the way to get the most money.
