Well his record isn't good so far. We are bottom four in attack and defence and have won 36% of our games. Yes it's a small sample, so it's too soon to go predicting no more spoons.

If we don't, it'll be because we've gained a salary cap advantage with the new CoE and pathways funding, not because of coaching. Ricky Stuart is a quality coach and he's won a wooden spoon (at Parramatta of all clubs). If he can, then almost anyone can.
It's amazing how much insight you lack into quality coaching. You really are a specimen.

Of course, this is your usual defence of the BA era by shitcanning the current coach...

Coaching is only visible to outsiders by results, not what you can see from the stands or on TV, or even from comments in the media. Ryles might be a great coach. He might only be better than Brad Arthur. But we won’t know it for a long time.

But wait, theres more. Would you like a player comparison with our current squad? Love the table!

As of Round 16 in the 2025 NRL season, the Parramatta Eels' current hooker options are:

🔹 Ryley Smith – Starting Hooker (#9)

  • Profile: A young and developing player who has taken over the starting role.
  • Strengths: Solid defensively, good service from dummy-half, but still building consistency at NRL level.
  • Limitations: Lacks the attacking spark or creativity of elite hookers; still maturing in game management.

🔹 Joey Lussick – Bench/Reserve Hooker (#18)

  • Profile: More experienced than Smith, Lussick has played in both the NRL and Super League.
  • Strengths: Reliable, composed, and a good option off the bench.
  • Limitations: Not a long-term solution; more of a depth player at this stage of his career

🟡🔵 Verdict: Would Da Silva Be an Upgrade?

Yes — Tallyn Da Silva would likely be an upgrade in terms of long-term potential and attacking upside. He could:

  • Push for a starting role quickly.
  • Add dynamism around the ruck.
  • Fit well into a rebuilding or youth-focused strategy.
Ah the fallacy of AI…. All of those points read like something written on here and then spouted as fact by AI

You don’t know we don’t get a cap advantage with Ryles.

So, if we are interested and fail to sign DaSilva, at least we can add another name to a decent list of players who showed some signs of playing for Parra , but we couldn’t get over the line. Obviously no one’s fault according to some. .
You know for someone who pops off about Pou posting so much, you sure love referencing him. It’s Pharty levels dude

You mentioned him, don’t see a name in my post. However, he is a boring prolific poster who has no info only his own strange rationale for everything .

Any contract extensions since July 2024 would also have had Ryles involvement, probably more than 17% I reckon.
Absolutely. The coach would have significant input into retentions of existing players because he knows them. He wouldn’t set the budget though. He is an advisor to the process.

Has Da Silvas manager been messing with Co-Pilot?
