Samrani extends as per members email…

Parramatta Eels Extend Jordan Samrani

Jordan Samrani has secured his future with the Parramatta Eels, extending his contract through to the end of the 2027 NRL season.

Samrani's journey to the NRL is a testament to his determination. Initially joining the Eels on a train-and-trial deal, he impressed coaching staff during the pre-season and in the Trials.

Since his debut earlier this year, Samrani has played nine NRL games, showcasing his versatility playing in various positions on the field.

As a backrower hopefully. He is no centre.

I find it fascinating that according to you every move the tigers make is the right one …. always one step ahead and outsmarting other clubs and particularly the poor old eels.
Do I fascinate you?

Letting TDS is clearly the right move. We have a hooker that will be better than him for at least the next two years and kid coming through, that other than size is better than TDS now. In 2 years Haywood will be perfect and will have had 2 years to learn from Api.

Im struggling to see how or why letting TDS go NOW is the right move. I think the Tigers have screwed up badly there in the absence of better information.

Ive never said that the Tigers have outsmarted the Eels, that is purely projection on your part. I think TDS is a great signing for you guys and Ive said it a number of times, but project away.

Marginal Electorates, bonus if Marginal across State and Federal
Campbelltown is a marginal electorate now? Do you have numbers to back that up?

Exciting news if true, Tigers should expect the upgrade money for CSS any day now then.......

UWS is forking out most of the money for the Campbelltown CoE which will be a shared facility with the Tigers (its a juniors Academy for Tigers)

I dont know about State, but Mcarthur was previously a Liberal Federal seat, and both it and Werriwa were talked about as possible Liberal gains at the last election.

There aren't too many marginals after the last election though.

Benji has firmly hitched his wagon to the young kids coming through, we just have one better than TDS.

Api is better than TDS right now and for the next couple of years. TDS is young with a lot of potential, but on "potential" TDS was the third best 9 at the club last week.

As far as "instead" of young talent coming through....benji was the one who gave an 18 yo Galvin first shot at 6 ahead of others, at times this year we have had 3 20yo's in the spine.
I dont think Benji will be around when the kid makes it.

I just read michael chammas hit job on the SMH in regards to the tigers atm.

Some loose lips down there atm.

Allegedly Benji Marshall tackled Adam Douiehi at a training session a couple weeks back.

Was that one of Benji's best tackles of his career.

What many say about Marshall is that he still harbours a desire to be “one of the boys”.

Maybe that was evident a couple of weeks ago when things got heated between Marshall and centre Adam Doueihi at training in the lead-up to the round 16 match against Canberra.

The pair exchanged words and the situation became aggressive, according to onlookers, after Marshall allegedly tackled Doueihi while defending against him.

Marshall often injects himself into training sessions, running with the opposing team against his players.

 "Hit job"!!

#clubincrisis. NRL player gets tackled too hard at training by a 40yo man. I think they will recover.

Townsville got both a new Stadium and CoE at the time 40 votes was the margin.

The Dolphins got a couple of things funded whilst Petrie was Marginal.

Broncos as the main Queensland team also, two lots of things built for them.

NSW Government funded the Raiders CoE, but the Feds didnt give a cent... whats in it for the NSW Government to fund an ACT based team? because Monaro was Marginal for State, but ACT very safe Labor.

There is a reason someone decided the Parra CoE should be in Kellyville and not Parramatta, and it wasn't because that's exactly where the Eels were always puting it there.

I assume the Storm, Knights, Sharks, Dragons, Souths, Roosters and Titans never got any Fed funding if they have a CoE...
Except Kellyville isnt a marginal seat - it is and has been a safe Liberal seat at State and Federal level of a long long time.

So who owns it? Parra Leagues? Hardie's sponsor it so the money doesn't goto Council?
I'd say the land and the fields are still Council owned.
Council still own the land and facility
Correct. The scope was devised under the Kellyville Park Land Scape Master Plan in 2019. Then, after State Government funding was approved, the project moved forward as State Significant Development Application No SSD 24452965. Final funding model however was a fruit salad of State, Federal, Council and PLC. The title remains in the name of Hills Shire Council. I suspect there is a 50+ year Licence Agreement to PLC that would have been a pre-condition of our funding. Otherwise, why would you ?

As to who owns the facility (building), well that is moot if the Licensee is responsible for all capex repairs, which is likely.

you sure? Source?

You seem really sure.......
Council do own the land. Although like with many other private facilities on council lands, the agreement on usage is fairly ironclad between all the parties. Neither council or Eels are breaking it without serious reparations.
The facility however is jointly owned by Parra Leagues, Hills Council, state and federal governments.
If I were to say any one party had the biggest say on the entire centre (land and buildings) being used for what purpose, it’d actually be the state government.
My source? From the mouth of the person who signed the agreement with Hills Council. What’s your source?

So does PLC lease it from State Govt and Hardie's sponsors it and probably pays for the lease.
