That’s essentially what players do when they go there tbf.I think I would rather retire then play for the Dragons.

Did he sound confident ??Not sure if this is for the religion thread but friend with contacts at Manly saying DCE signing with Dragons for 2 years.
That was before he blew it up on his own I reckon. Clearly confident of going to the Chooks then his form turned terrible and Billy decided he’s not an Origin half anymore. So I always thought he was leaving Manly to try to win something and Manly desperately wanted him to stay such that money wasn’t an issue.
Small heaters 2400w suck 10Amps of power and do bugger all. That's about 80cents and hour.
Put in a split AC. 5kw inverted will suck about 4Amps and warm 5 x the space.

Strawman? This from a bloke equating Adam Doueihi's comments about an embarrassing social media post to slavery or murder. What the hell are you talking about? What a shit strawman.
The plight of religious minorities in China is an obvious example. Closer to home we have the debate about whether abortion is murder.Again, what are you talking about? Care to give some examples?
When some people think discrimination against white people/men/heterosexuals/Christians is justified then no, we don't have consensus on what is meant by bigotry. You’re starting to become the Jordan Peterson of LU. What other “paradigm” would you use to describe the word bigotry? Are you going to claim that the word bigoted doesn’t have a consensus meaning that we ascribe to it today?
You don't even think they should be free to discuss their opinions in public. What have I said that’s bigoted? To not oppress marginalised groups? If someone justifies the murder of people outside their religion (eg the September 11 bombers) Is it bigoted of me to “rail” against it?
Here you go with the strawmen. We are talking about comments on social media, not slavery or capital punishment. So why is slavery wrong according to your semantics if railing against it is being bigoted towards religious people who support it?
Apostasy is a “shitty behaviour” punishable by death according to fundamentalist Muslims. Does this mean you defend their right to murder me if that’s their worldview?
You have a lot of faith in other human beings to think your values (as someone who benefits massively from the status quo) should be their values too.Faith is not a prerequisite for morality. People can live ethical, compassionate and meaningful lives by relying on reason, empathy, life experience and the values we share as human beings — without needing to reference scriptures or anything supernatural.
They used the cover of ideologies that are underpinned by atheism. They controlled people through appealing to working class and nationalist resentment. Religion wasn't a requirement. They were also dictators, I’m not sure atheism was the driving factor, unlike the crusades and the 30 year war they didn’t use the cover of religion as the driving factor to control people which was the point of my original post.
A coach's job is to win games, not build a roster for the next guy to benefit from. It's why coaches don't do recruitment.Probably explains why their CEO is sprouting about looking to buy an established halfback.
I am so glad we didn't get Flanno.. He is buying old players to scrap into the 8 to make himself look better than he is instead of investing on the future developing.
Agree with all but Holmes. Still good enough to play Origin.Who have they bought now for the retirement home.
Klemmer
Cooke
Gutho
Allen
Holmes
Guler

He's already achieved everything he can in the game. If he goes to St George it will be for the money. You can never have too much of that.It is a strange side ways move for DCE to go to the Dragons. He isn’t winning anything there.
ffs2 years on 800k or so, he won't ever make kind of money ever again.
If he wanted to win another premiership, he would've left Manly back when the Penn family took full ownership of the club.So I always thought he was leaving Manly to try to win something and Manly desperately wanted him to stay such that money wasn’t an issue.
They get a say, along with a bunch of other merkins at the club, including the senior players. But they don't make unilateral decisions. The club comes first.I would dispute this and I think everyone has coaches do recruitment by being involved in who they recruit.
There needs to be a bare minimum of short term success. The fans won't cop otherwise. Whether the coach is blamed for short term failure depends on his length of tenure, but every premiership window ends. Usually it's the coach who pays for it.A coaches job is to build a roster that's going to give you long term success.
If you are going to go for the short term success you will be out of a job in 2-3 years.

You’ve tied yourself into alot of knots where you contradict your own arguments, misrepresent what I’m saying or you dodge answering the question. I’m happy to continue this discussion if it can be moved elsewhere but I don’t want to clog the rumours/signings thread with endless talk on this topic.Strawman?
