Farnworth is a gun, but I just can't go past Stephen Crichton as the game's best centre.
Herbie has Critta covered on every metric including defence & tackle efficiency.

Which is Critta's strength.

Herbie would be a walk up start in either origin team if he was eligible.

He can bust open games with his tackle busts through the middle as much on an edge.

He maybe the greatest English outside back we have seen play out here i assume since Ellery Hanley.

At least best since Vince Fawcett.

I don’t think it’s much of a contest in regards to Herbie being the best back out here since Ellery. I’d forgotten all about Fawcett. Andy Currier was handy for Balmain back in the day. Huge for a centre. Martin Offiah had stints at Easts and maybe St George.

Jack Reed was two when he came out. Later years we’ve seen Widdop, Dom Young, Tompkins and George Williams. Can’t think of too many more that've made an impact.

Not sure about Farnworth's goal-kicking, or big-game moments, though.

Crichton has won a billion Premierships, dominated for NSW, and proved he is elite in big games.

I rate Farnworth very highly, but if money were no option, I'd throw the bank at Crichton.

This includes Crichton going over for a rather emphatic try in the Grand Final that Herbie was on the choking side of.

It still concerns me a little when I hear JR say they think Joash is a first grader but are still not sure what position that will be at, and that will only come with time. Reminds me of BA saying the same thing with Blaize. I’d like to think as a coaching team they’ve made a call on that and his training and development is focusing on a position for the future. It’s certainty apparent he isn’t pencilled in first 5/8th at this stage

From JDB's perspective, he wouldn't be coming here to win a premiership. This could be his last ever contract and he wants to get paid. One year with CO would come with the most lucrative price a player could expect.
